Cattle of Ravolox has to be one of the most dire offerings in Who history. But the blessed relief of no Whittaker gurning in 2019 (other than the new year's effort) is suh-weeettt.

Hard to believe a performance with this much nuance and depth didn't win round the public?

Thank fuck its gone. I didn't watch this episode tonight. Can someone fill me in. Instead I watched the Seeds of Death. Great story, very underrated. The leader Ice Warrior is on a par with David Banks Cyber leader, Terry Molloy's Davros and Kevin Lindsay's Sontaran in terms being a memorable representative of a race of monsters (well I know Davros isn't a Dalek, but you know what I mean.)

It was a rehash of Pirate Planet and Stolen Earth (the latter even got referenced) with the return of Tim Shaw from the first episode. Bradley was the only one with an arc the whole story. Yaz did nothing as usual.

I also spoiled myself on Classic Who just the day before. Remembrance of the Daleks.

Sounds riveting! I can scarcely contain my excitement. How on earth does Chibnall expect me to be able to wait an entire year for The Domestic Life of Yaz???

I think we could easily be looking at the best Doctor Who story since Genesis.

Yaz is a spectacularly unconvincing police officer. In fact it basically never makes an appearance in the plot.

Yaz is a nothing character. I find it strange that Chibnall of all people would develop the white male companion more than the female one of Pakistani descent.

I think that just reveals Chibnall's level of self-awareness. It seems he doesn't even believe in what he's doing and that is being revealed subliminally in his writing.

Rather reminiscent of the level of conviction present in Moffat's "emotional" scenes; no sincerity whatsoever and merely shoehorned in to manipulate the audience, who, of course, "Like that sort of thing". Or do we..?

I hate Yaz the most out of all the companions. She is complete non entity, and the actress is absolutely dreadful but I despise the political crap behind her character.

We have Yaz a Muslim woman going on about how the way we treat Muslims now is comparable to the way people in the 50s treated black people.

Now obviously yes there are people who generalize Muslims, and there are people who racialise Muslims too and that's awful. Still its not like the Muslims have been completely blameless when it comes to racism, or racialising non Muslims, or Kaffir.

Ironically the biggest racist scandal of the last 30 years in this country involved Pakistani Muslim men raping and torturing women because they were white!

But hey its all one way, its all the poor Muslims, its all white people being horrible to dark skinned people, and racism is clearly not a trait that all people can have. Its always been evil white people.

Again considering Chinballs desire to comment on our society and make it relevant to the world today, its mighty odd that he isn't commenting on Islamic homophobia isn't it like Coronation Street did with Kate and Rana?

Yaz is a disgusting piece of propaganda that will cause history to look on this era of Doctor Who, very unfavourably.

lols I know I watch a sci-fi show supposed to be set anywhere in time and space to see the place my parents used to go shopping.

I'm way past caring about the future of NuWho. A few years ago, it might still have been salvageable, but the damage is irreversible at this point. Baker & Hinchcliffe could come back for Series 12, but the horrific vandalism of the past year would still be canon. Since any hope of it being erased within the foreseeable future is a pipe dream, the only hope for fans now is the possibility of an unofficial tribute in the spirit of Classic Who, just different enough to avoid copyright lawsuits, vaguely akin to what The Orville is to Star Trek. Not necessarily a comedy, but surely another sci-fi adventure series about a mysterious, eccentric professor exploring all of time and space would be achievable?

No doubt the show desperately requires a large budget to pull off the ambitious and boundlessly imaginative stories Chibnall has in mind. This delay is killing me, but I'm sure The Domestic Life of Yaz will be worth the wait.

I'm sure it's nothing to do with collapsing ratings and the fact that everyone bar paid shills hates it.

I tried to be positive with series 11 and gave it a chance but I haven't seen the new year's special and have no interest in series 12 either.
