Better than last week's episode but still mostly awful. So derivative - the series now resembles a preachy, charmless version of The Sarah Jane Adventures. The Queen of the Racnoss made an unwelcome return but has changed her name. Well done to all those who sat this one out.

Didn't watch it this week. TBH I mostly use the Hive as a place to talk about True Who and other things now as I can't even be arsed to slag off New Who.
Still this interview with Jodie Whittaker beggars belief.

She basically claims that she represents all actresses in this role.

Axctually that interview makes me feel sorry for her.
The feminist cult certainly needlessly puts a lot onto women like her.

Since I'm on a decent NOFAP streak I no longer have any incentive to give this rubbish a watch so that I can rub one out over Jodie. I actually haven't done so since the Punjab episode. You can keep your chocolate chip cookies, Ludders. I'd much prefer a Yazoo

Yes they put pressure on her in that way but its her own fault in that she buys into that ideology. If its a problem for her - and she implies it is because she is whinging about it - she should extricate herself from that ideology and offer the riposte that she is acting as an individual and not a representative of all womankind. If she does cock it up - and i feel she has (albeit in partnership wih Chris' bloody awful writing) - there is a whole range of alternative parts in tv drama and film which wimmin can attach themselves to.
I also think rather than can it the BBC would offer another woman the role if only so they can claim the female Doctor is an ongoing success and its a credit to their equity and diversity policy.

I don't find it at all difficult not to watch either. I did struggle with giving it up with series 9, and eventually relented anyway but this... I've honestly not felt the slightest temptation for the last two years. It's a joke and a laughing stock.

I watched it. Nauseating as ever.
The Fam did very little other than stand around delivering third rate jokes. Seriously, Chibnall seems unable to write for so many characters. If thats the case he shouldnt put so many in the show.
I felt the acting of the supporting cast was a tad dire: especially Tesla, his bird and Eddington. To be fair it may have been the script and / or the direction.
Whitterer had another condescending monologue, this time telling everyone about what a wonderful chap Tesla was but unfortunately died in poverty. These things really are badly written such that i wonder if the scripts are written by Blue Peter viewers in a competition akin to those held in years past for the design of the Krotons or Absorbalof only now little Billie and Annie are competing to write the actual stories. The scripts certainly don't seem to be written by competent professionals.
Other than that Jodie just gurned and made crap jokes.
Kaijuko is right in that it was better than Orphan 55 - but not much. If i were a kid i would not own up to watching this when i got into school on Monday morning. I remember the ridicule i went thru during the graham williams years. This would be even worse. But each to his own i guess.

I really didn't know the show was being ridiculed on the playground that early (I grew up in the 90's so I knew it was seen as a joke by then, but I didn't know it was seen like that in the 70's as well). I always got the impression that Tom's Doctor was the kids' favourite to the end.

It was ridiculed where i was - Birmingham inner city secondary school. But thats just my experience. I am not basing this on articles i have read.

Did I miss anything again?
Oh dear, what a shame.
Look over your shoulder BBC, here come the Tories for your license fee.
That'll teach you to be such a bunch of cunts.
Ain't karma a bitch?
There.
That's my review for an episode of hateful shite I couldn't be bothered to watch.
