So far this year:
Destiny of the Daleks, pretty good, pace is a bit lethargic though
Sontaran Strategem, surprisingly enjoyable
Mind of Evil, decent
Reign of Terror, really good
Two Doctor, piss funny
Rise of the Cybermen, fecking awful gobshite and no mistake, Noel Clarke may deliver the single worst performance in the whole of Who in this LOL

Warriors of the Deep and The Black Guardian Trilogy. Also, The Girl Who Waited which is really very good no matter what era it is.

Oh bollocks, I forgot. I watched the wedding of River Song to see if it was as bad as I remembered. And it was.

Not seen any this year, though I did find a google doc with links to pretty much every story released on dvd so I might watch a few online at some point.

Maybe at some point we can think about arranging a stream to watch some together, I know that happened on the old forum. This forum has a chatbox that only needs to be turned on (ooh er), if we can't be arsed setting up a stream we could just agree to watch a story at the same time and comment in that.

Now if you excuse me I need to continue watching 8 out of 10 cats does countdown. Rachel Riley is wearing a dress with a sheer section in the front, if we're lucky she'll move in a way that allows for a sneaky bit of tit.

I reckon Girl is the last great NuPoo story. All downhill from there.

Did you not like Day of the Doctor? That would have been my pick for last great one. Not as innovative as Girl, though.

I'd say it was watchable fun, but not really great. I do tend to ignore almost all series 7 (bar maybe the Angels one solely for Amy and Rory's departure) and go straight to Day, though, and I do like it putting the Time War shit out of its misery. Feels like a good place to end it if Chibbers can't clean up Moffat's shit.

Nobody can clean up Moffat's shit. That's like trying to clean cat piss out of a sponge, you just have to throw it away.

I like the idea. Are we all in the same time zone more or less? I know iank isn't and Toiletman and Monk won't be if they get here.

Saw the Rise of the Cybermen 2 parter last night... or as much as I could stand before turning it off (5 or 10 minutes into part two) and watching Elementary instead. Dear God, it's bad, even worse than I remembered. Such an awful story, with Tennant in bland mode, Rose utterly unlikeable and Noel Clarke delivering one of the worst performances in the history of the show (his way of differentiating between Mickey and Ricky is by having Ricky glower a lot... and his way of showing Mickey growing a backbone as the story progresses is by having Mickey, er, glower a lot). Add to that another awful performance from Roger Lloyd Pack, the awful and awfully contrived stuff with the parallel Tylers hobnobbing with the President) and the only person who emerges from this mess is Don Warrington, who adds real class to all his scenes and sadly dies at the end of part 1.
Bloody awful.

Still only on season 1 atm, but I agree completely. Far less full of itself for one thing.

Half of the Silurians. Full of great ideas but just not that gripping. Really odd.

The Time Warrior - an absolute banger.

Love the Time Warrior. Just sheer escapist fun and the performances are all top notch.

How fun are Irongron and Lynx together. I love the way Irongron fluctuates between loving him like a brother and wanting to kill him!

Time Warrior is DW at its absolute best IMO. Sadly I think its one people myself included often forget about because its kind of a self contained, low key little story, but it really is just perfect. A good one to introduce people to the show on IMO.

I quite like Noel Clarke but I agree his performance is awful in that one. He seems to have graduated from the I'm going to look as though I smell shit to look hard school of acting.

Rose and 10 are also obnoxious in that story too. Then again they are in all of season 2.

Sontaran Experiment is another one of those self-contained, low key stories that non-fans seem to love.

Nothing complicated, just a simple, gripping plot and loads of action.

Watched Night Terrors last night (mainly cause I turned Jessica Jones off halfway thru episode 2 and needed something short lol), fun Matt Smith story. The human 'dolls' are very creepy (especially with their malevolent child-like laughter) and the regulars are great. I miss that team a lot actually and I thought the story overall was better than I remembered (though I've never disliked it as such anyway).

The Macra Terror Loose Cannon recon.  Great stuff, especially Episode One. Am very fond of companion team Ben, Polly and Jamie. (Polly gets a hair-cut in this and as a result looks even sexier!), love all the music and jingles of the colony and of course the rather wonderful Peter Jeffrey as Pilot. A smashing product of its time, kind of like The Prisoner but with giant crabs. The Macra themselves look a bit 'Ed Wood' but are still better than the CGI Gridlock versions.

"Happy to work"

Aside from Face the Raven (and that's seriously compromised by being linked so much to the last 2) the second half of series 9 is as bad if not worse than the first.
Dire stuff.

Been watching Spearhead from Space. Typical invasion plot but the ideas are stunning and the execution mostly.

Remembrance. Still fricking brilliant. That's how you make great Who, Mofftwat.
