Fuck.

No, it still shows the pre-discount price until you enter the code on the checkout page. They're £5.39.

Apparently the guy who provided the current voice of Ben in the classic Doctors range has chosen to resign from the role.

I'm just about to get into BF proper in regards to Seven. I've picked up a few over the years, but I've set my mind on getting all the stories relating to him now. I'm going to try and listen to them in what should be their canonical order.

Befor I get crucified with rusty nails, I know that BF are not cannon in any way to the show. I view it as the BF spin-off cannon.

I used to treat Big Finish as canon (certainly there was a lot of good stuff on audio that I'd much rather regard as canon than some of the crap that was actually televised).

A lot less so since they've started indulging in some New Series cross-pollination. It felt rather tainted and soulless after that to me. No longer the genuine article.

(For the record I see classic and new who as two separate canons, so I can accept New Who's canon as it s own thing and as one loosely based on the classic series, as long as they don't get too close)

Plus there's also the problem that they've just been constantly producing far too much output to ever keep track of. It gets to a point where you can't regard it as canon because it's still not finished plugging its holes in the gaps, and you're never going to manage to keep track of and hear it all anyway.

It becomes necessary to say Classic Who has a done canon, Big Finish's additions are by nature an undecided incomplete quantity. Best regarded as just an additional option.

So, PC Andy might be an companiom canidate as 8th, Liv, and Helen get stuck in Baker Street the next 4 years. Its official: 8th has been stuck on Earth in long perioids of time more times than 3rd ever did. I'd say 5th too but then I remembered I hate the first Thomas Brewster trilogy with every fiber of my being (the 2nd one moreso and you can make a huge guess as to why...).

I just hope to high hell, Briggs doesnt attempt to sledgehammer Gomez or Kingston into the box sets. This will be the company's final chance to win me back after the 4 years of shameless dick sucking on Moffat they've done with River, Paternoster Nitwits, and a (then) dying John Hurt.

I haven't listened to any of these since 2011. But I actually thought the Davison era audios were the best. I thought some of the 5/Nyssa ones were very good, and enjoyed nearly the entire set of 5/Peri/Erimem audios.

As far as Colin's Doctor goes, I thought the lost season 23 was very good. He had a few other good ones, but they were scattered around, not in one continuous set. I would say the same was true of the Sylv era, 7th doctor audios - I liked some of his but not a single group of audios in a sequence.

As for McGann era, 8th doctor audios, I liked his first few the best - before he went to the parallel universe. I think if they had made a video version of these early ones it would have been the best possible continuation of classic who. The parallel universe ones were ok, but I lost interest in the ones after that when they went to the shorter format. I didn't make it all the way to To the Death.

Susan's War, Carole Ann Ford's very own spin-off series, coming from Big Finish, with Ford and William Russel reprising Ian and Susan, Paul McGann will feature also. The premise deals with Susan's participation in the time war.

If not for everything else putting a dampener on my Who enthusiasm, I might've been quite interested in this.
