Great films that never got a sequel?

Cobra is certainly one that springs to mind. You'd think the guy would get at least one follow up considering Stallone's other two popular characters have four or five sequels to their name.  Cobra is so cool and badass and we need him back to take down the fairies of today. Political correctness is a disease...




I also think there should have been a Speed 2. It would have been great to see Reeves on, say, a boat fighting, say, Willem Dafoe.

Biggles Adventures in Time comes to mind too.

I would have like to have seen a third Dr Who film with Peter Cushing this time using the Cybermen as the Doctor's adversary. Following thebasic plot of Tenth Planet.

I liked Cushing's portrayal of the Doctor and it would have been interesting to see an alternative cyberman design on a bigger budget.

Non-Who - I like the Clive Owen film King Owen  (2004 I think). I would have liked a sequel to that. Its the film that changed my view of Clive Owen as previously I found his performances lacking depth. Its too late now but I wish he had been given the 007 gig at some point.
