As an April fool's day joke, adult swim aired a new episode of Rick and Morty on repeat rather than their usual shows.

The Incredible Hulk: 747. What's the worst place you could possibly imagine for David to lose his rag and Hulk-out? Why, a 747 of course! Which is exactly what happens in this top episode, and it's not the food or the in-flight movie that ticks him off, either. David catches a flight from San Francisco to Chicago in hopes of meeting a Doctor that may have answers for his "condition" before he leaves the country, only to get caught up in an elaborate heist/hijack that leaves all the pilots drugged and the plane heading for a bumpy landing. This is a great episode, with a fantastically tense climax as David is left trying to pilot the plane and prevent it crashing (with help from Air Traffic Control) but it's been damaged and won't work properly, and David, needless to say, starts to get angry!
I'm sure the cute younger stewardess was in V too (also Kenneth Johnson of course). Loved this one!

Prison Break has returned after a long hiatus. I used to love watching this - for about two series - but I get the feeling if I were to watch it now I would be baffled as to why.

I watched both episodes of the new Prison Break and it's just as stupid as ever. I don't know why the creator didn't learn that the conspiracy stuff was the worst part of the show. I enjoyed season 1 and the first half of season 2 where they're looking for the money. I don't remember if it was season 3 or 4 but I kind of liked the one where they were in the foreign prison too since it was actually about prison breaks again.
Now they've gone crazy with it and the worst part is that I want to keep watching.
I've also recently finished series 3 of Line of Duty and can't wait to start series 4.

- Spoilers:
- Michael is alive, faking his brain tumour and the electricution and his entire existence has been wiped from all records. He now goes by a name everyone knows as belonging to an ISIS leader and we've just found out he's friends with a Jihadi John type figure who was in isolation in the same prison. Agents are yet again trying to kill Lincoln and Sara and T-Bag was released from prison and given a robotic hand in exchange for passing on a message from Michael.

Anyone been watching 13 Reasons Why on Netflix?

Currently two episodes into Stranger Things. It's a lot of fun, kind of a mix between E.T, Goosebumps, Lost, and a pinch of Twin Peaks. Plenty of tropes I've seen in fiction over the years, but with endearing characters, some grounded teen fluff drama, compelling performances etc. It's not the most original show, but it is a damn good time.
There's bugger all on Netflix beyond new and old MST3K as well as the Saban Brands library, so I've also taken to watching Fuller House. God help me.

Finished Stranger Things not too long ago, I don't get the hype but it isn't bad. I regret giving up on it after 2 episodes when it first came out and look forward to series 2, but I doubt I'll ever rewatch it.
Pretty Little Liars starts the final set of episodes in America tonight which means it'll be on UK Netflix by tomorrow morning, looking forward to seeing what happens.

No worries. I'd have to go back and check but have you seen any of the A.D. era or was the last you saw them going off to college?

No I saw through to the end of season 6, the "new era" started midway through that. Hanna had just been kidnapped IIRC.
It's not shown on free to air TV here (well the first season was and then pay TV bought it!) so I have to wait for the DVD release of season 7.

Well, I ended up a bit disappointed with Elementary season 3, which is a shame as I thought the first half was great. I loved the introduction of Kitty and she added a breath of fresh air to the whole dynamic (frankly I find her infinitely preferable to Joan, to be brutally honest). I was most disappointed when she was written out halfway through the season (even if her exit episode was superb, easily the best of the season) and everything just went back to the old status quo. Even worse was the complete lack of any comparable arc in the second half, which just seemed to flounder about with no direction, only to then end on a rather poor cliffhanger that didn't feel in any way earned to me.
Oh dear, I do hope it hasn't jumped the shark already. Bah humbug.

Season 3 of Better Call Saul is 4 or 5 episodes in right now. I enjoy the show, in some ways much more than Breaking Bad, but they need to stop moving along at a snail's pace. It feels like each season could be cut in half without losing much.

Like an idiot, I wound up watching five minutes of episode eight of Westworld before realizing I skipped episode seven and spoiled a major plot point for myself which would have made my jaw drop

Elementary season 4 seems to be back on form, and I'm enjoying the story arc involving Holmes' father (Fringe's John Noble). They finally got around to doing their own take on Baskervilles this season too, and it was a rather good and original one!

Season 3 of The Flash is coming to an end and also getting close to a point where I drop the show. They've really dropped the ball lately.
I think the first 2 episodes have aired of American Gods so I've started that. It's based on a book by Neil Gaiman and is pretty weird. It's already been renewed for a season 2.
I was also happy to read that Agents of SHIELD is getting a season 5. I was sure it was going to be axed this year or at most brought back for a final season with a reduced episode order, but it's coming back for a full 20+ episode season with no word on it being the last.

I heard SHIELD may have it's budget slashed next year, but good news regardless. The fourth season was a step up

Finished season 1 of The Incredible Hulk, which is the first time I've seen it since I was a wee tyke. Aside from one dreadful episode that appeared to be written entirely around stealing action scenes wholesale from Duel, it was actually really good and stands up really well.

I think it's one of those rare shows that keeps getting better with each season. The writers were pretty smart this year with the way they split it into 3 arcs instead of 2, even better is that they're going to come together in the end.Zarius wrote:I heard SHIELD may have it's budget slashed next year, but good news regardless. Adam, you're a big Heroes fan so I was wondering what you'll make of this new X-Men spin off

I'll check it out when it starts but it's not something that excites me. I liked the 90's X-Men show and X-Men Evolution and some of the comics but the movies are a bit of a mess so any connection to them puts me off. I didn't even watch Legion despite being created by the same person behind the Fargo tv series.
I think Fox would be better off doing a full reboot of the property and build around that rather than continue to add to a film series that isn't held together well.

Just watched the latest episode of American Gods, the show is so weird I don't know what to make of it. This episode featured a pretty graphic gay sex scene between a salesman and a supernatural taxi driver with fire for eyes, and both erect penises in full show. It wasn't even connected to anything else in the episode.

So it appears Agents of SHIELD is going to be pushed out of the fall scheduling to make way for Inhumans...only here's the catch...ABC are dumping Inhumans in the infamous Friday night death slot, and SHIELD will replace it following transmission of it's eight episodes with a full twenty-two order, in what will undoubtedly be it's last season

Also being dumped on Fridays to die is Once Upon A Time

That's odd, it's like ABC are trying to take NBC's spot as the worst network when it comes to marketing shows. I thought Inhumans would be given a prime slot considering IMAX partnered with them to make the show.
Agents of SHIELD must be getting barely 2 and a half million viewers at this point so one the one hand I understand why that gets the death slot, on the other hand the show must be pretty expensive to make so why not just cancel it? They cancelled Agent Carter for less. I mean, I'm glad season 5 is happening but it doesn't make sense from a business perspective, especially since they haven't announced it as the final season.
New Girl is also coming back for season 7, which will be the final one. I don't know if it's been confirmed but apparently one of the stars said on twitter that it will only be 8 episodes long and air in mid-season. I'm expecting it to be a short epilogue (possibly with a time jump) since the season 6 finale was written to wrap the show up in case they didn't come back, and the main actress being pregnant wouldn't allow for a full season order.
