It sounds like something you'd hear in a fucking X Factor montage. LOL LOL LOL

I have it on good authority that it is by Macklemore and it is called "Glorious".

It is not.

I liked "Thrift Shop", though.

Even their trailers are a puerile laughing stock.

This trainwreck gets funnier by the week! LOL

The Tenth Doctor beat them to it in The End of Time when he jumped out of that spaceship and right into the middle of the (brief) return of the Time Lords, surely?

(Still makes me wonder how he survived that while the Fourth Doctor didn't falling off the Pharos Project. Maybe he built up a resistance to falling from great heights?)

That's got to be one of the worst trailers/teasers/ I've ever seen for the show.  The music, in particular, is diabolically bad - what a cheap and tacky idea to use such a throwaway pop tune.   Just when you thought NuWho couldn't stoop any lower...

What, exactly, did that trailer have to do with Time And Relative Dimension In Space? (Or really anything sci-fi at all?)

Also, I’m working on a post about the actual brilliance of the apparent lack of marketing this year. But might take a few more days because work is crazy this week.

The trailer joins what we have thus far seen - into the pit of dis-usable, and they each of them bare no kindred with what they ought. In other terms: the continually absent reference to Doctor Who really tempers the argument that the show has become, in pure, a jerk-off propaganda machine.

What is rather zesty is that there is presumed to be some satisfaction in the particularly female counter-vitrum, when veritably it was men who broke the, entirely illusory, glass ceiling.

'It's about time' that the show was cancelled again, only righteously this time.

I also like to think that the ceiling represents the legacy and reputation of the show. Jodie's "whoops" reaction to it shattering to pieces is representative of the current attitude often expressed by the modern Who team whenever they do something that hurts the credibility of the series and drives away the old fans.

All this smug crap is getting on my nerves. I never thought Doctor Who would be in such a confused and messy state. It was different 5 years ago. With Capaldi on the horizon, it seemed like things might get better. Look at things now!

They can sell it / package it any way they like. It’s still nonsense. Fortunately there’s a lot of gold in the original programme. Whittaker fans can call the old programme whatever they like - slow, misogynist, cheap. It’s still gold.
Too much “propaganda masquerading as truth” these days. Fortunately the genuine fans of the old show do not fall for it. And we respect and honour all the genuine talent from the old show. Anyone mocking it insults people like Verity Lambert, David Whitaker, Robert Holmes, Terrance Dicks, Tom Baker, etc. What an insult and what a tragedy.
The real fools are those who dismiss such talent. Thank goodness there are still some of us left who value the values of the original show - decency, integrity, honour, courage and respect.

The same way Jodie's Doctor will survive the fall in the Series 11 introduction episode.

Through the powers of poor writing.

Here's my personal pet hate beyond all others and every single other thing in the show.

When did it become Time and Relative Dimension In Space?

Here's Zoe clearly saying Time and Relative Dimensions In Space!

Dimensions! Dimension plural!

I mean, we live in at least three of them and continuously move through a fourth just for starters!

Susan said it that way in the first episode. Therefore, despite it being the plural (which makes more sense anyway IMO) throughout the entire rest of the series, they've gone back to that in New Poo.

I've used it as singular ever since I heard Susan say it that way, it has nothing to do with Moffat, and honestly more to do with A Wrinkle in Time and the Teseract than anything.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume something external arrests her fall in such a way that supports life and a safe landing at the end of it.

Entirely possible Chibnall is going to be using those characters in the series but is saying the opposite as a reverse psychology tactic to get people to tune in every week hoping to see them.

I supposed they used the bullshit 'regeneration energy' concept to justify the Doctor's more ridiculous feats of survival, which might be used in the next episode.

I honestly assumed, until the teaser, that the first episode would begin with her falling and crashing through a glass ceiling.

I don't blame him with the villains. Daleks seem pretty small-time nowadays compared to the malevolence of the white male.

Oh well, if it's actually the case that in the very beginning, Susan said Dimension (singular), I have to bow to precedent and tradition even if Dimensions makes more sense and sounds better.

But I don't like it.

Potential out, he never said anything about the Master now, did he? Or any other regeneration of the Master not going by that name either.

I didn't like it either when I first heard it, I mostly started to use it to get myself used to it. I didn't hear it as singular until, ~'89? Somewhere in there. There are Alien Time-Lordy reasons for why I like it as singular now. I've developed a whole mythos about how humans just can't comprehend multiple dimensions functioning as one dimension, hence the discrepancy between singular and plural, but that's neither here nor there.

When I finally learned there was a fandom ~2006, I would use singular just to piss off all the NuWho fans who were acting like elitist entitled asshats LOL
(IE: "How dare you call yourself a fan when you ONLY watch the tv show" - To which I'd reply: dude I'm an American, I didn't even know other people knew this show existed until just now, who's the bigger fan, the one who had to FIGHT to watch the show, or the one who had it spoon-fed to them.)

Actually, there has historically been a lot of that in the series including Tobias Vaughn (Invasion), the plan to wipe out and overwrite history (Invasion of the Dinosaurs), the Marshal trying to wreck a peace deal and independence just for his own personal benefits (The Mutants), planning to give the Earth over to the Krynoid (Seeds of Doom), another spin on acquiring Infinite Power (or close enough and risking plunging the Earth into destruction - Image of the Fendahl) and so on and so on, I'm sure there's plenty more. White men have actually been very risky towards the well being of the planet quite a lot of times just during the run of Classic. If anything, New Who ups the diversity quotient in letting a few other groups have a go at cracking the planet.

It's taking me a long time to get over Jodie Whittacker's casting on the show.

I haven't been following the latest news on the show for months and I've only just seen this abomination:

Series 11 - Page 25 KFkNmfu

Surprised this hasn't had more reaction on the Hive. Superman 2 fortress anyone? Admittedly I prefer it Matt Smith's first but its really a bloated version of Eccelstons. I wish it was a bit more mechanical than organic as well, Ive never bought into the appeal to make it more like a living creature.

And as for this:

Series 11 - Page 25 DixQYgk

It no longer looks bigger on the inside, it now looks like a box with a tumour sticking out of the back. When are they ever going to come to their senses and put the old internal / external doors back...
