I fucking hate the, 'out of the mouth of babes ...' perception. Children do what they're influenced to do, they do not think independently: her parents made her reaction.
They could have, with equal facility, directed her to dismay.
They could have had her rooting for actual female role models of past.
They could have had her mourning the collapse of the Third Reich.

Because of our obligate - nature endowed - affection for children we are so many of us misled to feel some added substance to an argument when kids are used as weights. No, fuck off.

What a joke.

Fuck off BBC. How about making a female hero instead of castrating a male one?

Oh no, that would require talent and effort, and we all know no one associated with New Who is capable of either.

Get fucked.

The cynical bitch who posted that picture of her little girl actually said in a tweet "WEAPONIZE MY CHILD AGAINST THE PATRIARCHY". I feel sorry for that poor girl. Weaponizing children is a low feminists are often willing to stoop too.

PS when you look at the feminist theatre you can see why their version of DW is the worst era in the shows history. Why are nerds such pathetic cowards in the face of feminists. Stand up for your genre!

So here MrTARDIS pretty much admits he won't be "lambasting" the series and if anyone tunes in for his content for that (most of which may have been attracted to him because he used to critique the Moffat era fairly and objectively), then they're out of luck.

A shame. His critique of Hell Bent was pretty decent. Now he's not just drunk the kool aid, he's got it on an intravenous drip!

The new Mary Whitehouse? LOL

"too dark for a Doctor Who episode"

That aside, a very refreshing and conflicted reaction...not afraid to call Chibs' earlier work like Broadchurch "boring"

Unfortunately, most male Who fans look and sound like they've never given a woman an orgasm.

Probably because 80% are gay, and they rest of us are ugly spods with subscriptions to trap porn sites.

Except me, of course. I'm a real man. I've even got hairs on my arse.

Any comments on this? : https://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2018-10-12/doctor-who-series-11-jodie-whittaker-emotional-reaction-to-ratings-viewing-figures-success/

'Jodie Whittaker says she is “quite emotional” following the overwhelming reaction to her debut episode in Doctor Who.'

It received good viewing figures - 8.2m, but is anybody surprised? People like to see the train wreck, it doesn't mean they want to buy a ticket.
A 1-2 million drop is usual onto the second episode, and I'm expecting it to fall to 5.0m or below by the end of the series, unless they pull some 'new technology' bullshit.

'...and the reaction from fans and critics has been predominantly positive.'

Is this true? Critics have been utterly dishonest in their reviews, but did the general fan and viewer like it? Considering how objectively shit most everything was, I doubt it.

'The actress said she was heartened by the fact that new series showrunner Chris Chibnall appears to have succeeded in bringing in new fans as well as satisfying long-time viewers.'

The viewing figures were still lower than they were from series 1-3, and premier ratings aren't a good indicator of a series average. Are you a 'fan' because you watched one episode?

“What we wanted was something that the family could sit down [in front of],” she said.

Isn't that the whole point?

“To make this piece that is for everyone and is inclusive – because it’s not just for Whovians. It’s to make new Whovians as well.”

Well it certainly isn't for white-male self-respecting Doctor Who fans. I don't know if you can call something 'inclusive' that considers the revocation of white-male roles to be a moral right.

I can't deny the Schadenfreude that will take me once the viewership and positive response melts away and Jodie realizes that she spoke too soon.

A relatively honest review of the recent episode: https://www.newstatesman.com/culture/observations/2018/10/talking-about-my-regeneration-why-it-s-ok-not-new-doctor-who

He still spends most of the time speaking in Cuckold, apologizing for not liking the episode as much as others seem to be and distancing himself from, 'man-babies'. In fact, he only spends two paragraphs in the entire article actually reviewing the episode, calling it: boring, predictable, and ... strangely ... lacking humour.

Regardless, I have a mild amount of respect for the guy that he is able to think for himself, however transiently.

He probably had to preface his article in the language of penislessness or risk losing his job.

Mr Tardis at this stage might as well change his name to Mr BBC Shill Reviews.

He's openly admitted to working for them freelance, so obviously he doesn't want his cash cow to end. I wouldn't mind if he just came clean, and didn't try and bash other fans as being lesser than him, and not being able to take female leads like him (which again I must point out is ironic as this self loathing fanboy never reviewed or watched ANY female leads until they chopped Peter Capaldi's cock off.)
