Doctor Who-The Years VHS Tapes

Anyone remember these tapes? I have fond memories of pirating the Daleks one after borrowing it from the library and transferring the contents on to a blank VHS (for some reason my OCD compelled me to tape the ending twice)

I went over to torrent site Myspleen.org a couple of months ago and to my delight found most of them had been uploaded there. Before my computer died around the early summer I was able to nab the following from there:

-The Tom Baker Years
-The Pertwee Years
-Cybermen: The Early Years
-Daleks: The Early Years

If any of you want a copy, just ask.

Looking back on the Dalek one, I have to ask...was the story about Ridley Scott  being originally called up to do the Dalek design ever repeated on other DVDs?

I have the Troughton years tape back in the UK.

Yes. I actually won the Dalek and Cybermen ones from DWM back in the day!

The only one I didn't get was the Pertwee one, which seemed utterly pointless given they were random episodes from stories that fully existed...

I have the Colin Baker Years VHS tape and it is very good though I am disappointed that Eric Saward refused any clips of his stories onto the video.

I feel the Tom Baker one was the best given he chose to cover virtually every story, and ad-libbed the whole thing.

Well, I dunno, I think at the time the Hartnell and Troughton ones scored as they were then the only chance to see those extant episodes of otherwise missing stories. Obviously now they've been superceded by the Lost in Time set but at the time they were gold.

Ineed. Trying to get a copy of Dalek Early Years was hard. Sometimes it sold for a couple hundred quid. I got mine from Shipley Library when they started getting rid of VHSs.
