PJW shot to fame circa 2014-16 when the backlash against SJWs began. Back then it was so refreshing to hear any kind of critique of SJWs that I hate to say I followed him for a while.
Some of his videos back in the day were quite amusing, but in hindsight a lot of his targets were low hanging fruit (though again there was so little critique of SJW crap that any of it seemed like a breath of fresh air.)
This is probably his best video. Michael Moore really is a disgusting excuse for a human being. Read his book, stupid white men. Its one of the most racist things I've ever had the misfortune to read. How the man had a career after that I'll never know.
However I started to go off Paul when I realised how tribal he was. His video about capitalism for instance uses exactly the same rhetoric that he sneers at SJWs for using to justify the horrors of socialism. "They just weren't doing it right."
Added to that there was his cringey "conservatism is the new counter culture" vid. See for yourself.
The bit about Milo Yiannopolous being a rock star hasn't aged well has it Paul? (To be fair it was cringey then, but its even worse now.)
Worst of all was his total lack of research of back up sources for his videos. He actually used ShoeOnHead's parody of a feminist character Misandry Queen (she's basically an earlier version of BeKind) in the thumbnail for his Capitalism is great video, as an example of an idiot SJW who hates Capitalism.
PJW however really destroyed his credibility when he started promoting Candace Owens. Candace is a chancer who set up a website called social autopsy where basically you could doxx people for saying mean words online.
When that project crashed Candace jumped sides, but she kept Social Autopsy up as a back up plan should switching to the conservative side not work out.
Paul meanwhile hypocritically was so desperate to have a black conservative as a trophy against his leftist critics that he promoted Candace without checking which made him look like a fool when the truth about Candace came out. (He later lied about Social Autopsy being from 4 years ago to cover his tracks.)
PS you should check out Candace's car crash of an interview with Blaire White where she goes out of her way to call Blaire a man. Its disgusting and the fact that this is the type of person PJW is desperate to promote says a lot about him.
I think the "edgy" conservatives have had their day on youtube. PJW, Steven Crowder, Lauren Southern, all of these people who go on about Cultural Marxists are seen by most reasonable people as being as big a joke as the SJWs.
This obviously doesn't mean you'd just join the SJWs side of course. IMO there are more left wing people emerging who are critics of identity politics.
You should check out Kim Iversen's videos. She is brilliant, she calls out the mainstream media's biases, is a critic of PC crap, but she also criticises the right just as much and is fair and impartial and her vids are well researched.
Also and I can't believe I'm saying this, but Jimmy Dore has really come into his own recently. Jimmy Dore started with The Young Turks (spit) and was a total arsehole on the Young Turksm but his own show is brilliant, though he still has some SJW biases, ironically I can tolerate that from him more than Paul Joseph Watson, or Sargons fanboyism for Ayn Rand and Agusto Pinochet.
To be fair to the likes of Shoe0nHead they were always impartial and in the middle, but as much as I like Shoe, her stuff is obviously more light hearted and silly. The likes of Kim Iversen offer up a much deeper analysis.
PS another one I've gone off is Brenden O'Neill. He used to do good stuff, but he's just gone completely over to the conservatives now. He's like Dave Rubin in that respect. He just wants to run with what he thinks are the cool kids. Its pathetic.
