It gets worse! The fact that Billie Eilish, who is apparently a female woman, is recording the theme tune had some 'expert' on the news last night (whom Bond wouldn't shag in a million years) saying it was revolutionary, pointing to a modern Bond, ending its anachronistic era, blah blah blah / rubbish rubbish rubbish...

Imagine if a really powerful female singer had recorded the theme song to Goldfinger!

She looks like she's about twelve. Most of the Craig Bond songs have been pretty horrendous in all honesty. I really don't see how she's going to change that.

For the theme I was hoping Jamie Cullum, Paloma Faith or Emilie Sandi. Faith and Cullum have both expressed an interest but to no avail.
I looked at some of Eilish's previous songs last night and they sound lifeless and depressing to me. Doesn't bode well for her bond effort.
Have to admit that I quite liked the themes for Casino and Skyfall.

I would've gone with something by Lorde.

On radio 5 this morning they mentioned 'No Time' ... Is expected to be almost 3 hours long.(2 hrs 50 mins I think they said).
Bit much really. I'll miss most of it going to the toilet. Guess I'll wait for the dvd.

Fair enough. I guess I overreacted when I started this thread then although, in my defence, it's as much about the writing and the portrayal of the characters as it is the gender of the lead role. The role may stay male but f she cuts his genitals off anyway then little is gained / retained imho.

I really doubt it will be like that either. If anything he'll end up saving her and probably nailing her to boot.

But that will just trigger the wokes, making the female character dependant on the toxic, mysogonist male one. Why does a woman need a man to help her? She can do it all on her own without a penis obsessed male to help her.
I follow what you are saying but it wont satisfy the misandrist critics. Broccoli gives them an inch and they will campaign even harder for the mile, pushing the franchise ever further down the road toward ultimate wokeness: Bond 26 - a female bond with a huge man eating vagina and a plot exploring the horrors of period pains, the joy of child birth and the unchartered territory of the menopause. Can't fuckin' wait.
But you are right in the sense that it's good news Broccoli has confirmed she will go for a male Bond next time round. Pls excuse my sarcasm.
