Season 7, I adore every episode.

I might also root for 6 - underrated, with the benefit of Zoë. They're all marvellous, though.

18. Whilst there are seasons with individually more 'classic' stories (and that are less of a serious slog) I've always admired JNT's boldness in reinventing the show the way he did - and the E-Space trilogy is fantastic (to have 3 thematically connected but totally different stories).

Yah, Season 18 always struck me as an unexpected highpoint of Tom Baker's tenure - especially with the general consensus that the show had begun its decline at or about this time.

The Leisure Hive might have alienated some, and Meglos and Full Circle were relatively mediocre: but State of Decay, Warrior's Gate, Keeper of Traken and Logopolis were a fantastic run.

I would also like to defend Season 17 considering its low regard.

Season 20 and 21 would be contenders if not for their dud stories.

Season 7 is also a strong choice - I just didn't have much love for ambassadors.

Season 4 is my favourite season from the Sixties. The Tenth Planet, The Power of the Daleks and The Moonbase are absolutely wonderful. It also has Ben and Polly, two of my favourite companion from that era. It angers and saddens me that a lot of the episodes from the season are actually missing.
