Red Dwarf XII confirmed for autumn start, logo revealed

The already-filmed twelfth series of Red Dwarf is edging closer to our screens, with the confirmation now from the official Red Dwarf Facebook page that the show will premiere on Dave this coming autumn.
Furthermore, the not particularly surprisingly – but still exciting! – new logo for the upcoming run has also been revealed.

A further posting in the comments on the aforementioned Facebook page explains why we still don’t have a firm start date yet. “We will give a date in due course – we can’t just yet for various reasons, not least because firm decisions on TV scheduling can’t always be made this far in advance. As soon is the date is official, and ready to be made public, we will shout it from the rooftops!”, said an official reply.
Red Dwarf XII was actually filmed pretty much immediately after the eleventh series, with filming completed in March 2016. Filming the two series back to back allowed Dave to stretch their budgets a little further.
