Well JNT's era was like three times longer...

That's true, but I can call more than three times as many stories from JNT's era "classics" than I can from Williams era.

Replace 10. With Revelation Of The Daleks

Anyway after 30 odd years I still think that the only "crime" JNT was guilty of (Apart from dreadful costume taste) was staying on too long.

If JNT had left with Davison, his legacy would have been one of bringing Doctor Who into the 80's and returning the show to its original values after years of Tom Baker's silliness.
A triumph. Perhaps a little humourless, but a triumph none the less.

Although it gets a bit messy....

I think the end of Season 19 is where JNT (and Saward) should've left.

A kick-start to a new era, Davison's Doctor still a badass who hadn't been rendered toothless yet, the ratings still respectable with potential to blossom, and the show making a few kisses to its past without yet disappearing up its own tail or alienating any would-be new fans.

After that, it just seemed to become a sad, depressing exhibition of the worst self-harming impulses humans can make.
