Saw Arrival recently, and thought it was excellent. Truly alien and creepy at times. The ending petered out a bit but that wasn't a bad thing.

Also, Trainspotting 2 is shit hot!

Also rewatched Ex Machina recently, still love that film. Also saw The Machine recently - it's Ex Machina but with guns. Automata is also worth a shout. Couldn't get on with Transcendence. Watch V for Vendetta again today, still amazing.

I need to get out more

Saw Split last week. It was shit.

Split was getting good reviews and a sequel is already in the works. They made out M. Night Shyamalan had redeemed himself for every film since The Sixth Sense, I knew it was lies.

I suspected he'd done a twist ending that wasn't completely retarded.

The last film I saw was Jurassic World on demand, I didn't care for it at all and I hate that the director will be in charge of Star Wars Episode IX.

Rewatched V for Vendetta cos I had forgotten most of it... and it's brilliant which was the only thing I did remember.

They're still making Star Trek Discovery? I lost all interest when Bryan Fuller dropped out as showrunner and it was delayed for months. Judging from the lack of hype elsewhere it's going to crash and burn.

I wonder if George Lucas will have any creative input or if his executive producer credit is a formality because he created the character? Im looking forward to it either way. I enjoyed Crystal Skull despite it having some stupid stuff in it. It was the prequels-level bad that people made out.

I'm waiting for them to announce and Indiana Jones cinematic universe, with the asian guy from The Walking Dead playing an adult Short Round going on his own adventures.

I hate to say it, but Ford was getting a bit long in the tooth for it in the 2009 one!

That's the only thing that worries me about the new one. He made Han Solo work in The Force Awakens because of the charisma, actually trying to act for the first time in years probably because they finally gave him his wish to kill the character. Even then there were points where seeing him hobble along in the more action packed scenes were just sad. Part of that might have been because he broke his leg on the set, but still.

He might still be looking pretty good for his age, but watching him try to carry a film that requires stunts and action might be more embarrassing than exciting.
