Worst Pertwee story

A great Doctor and era, but which story from his run is his worst? For me, it has to be The Time Monster. The logistics of the script (especially involving TOMTIT and the Time-Flow analogue) sometimes bare an uncanny resemblance to the sheer lack of logic in New Who.

I'm beginning to think I might as well just say "What he said" in these.

The Time Monster is a riot!


The Monster of Peladon is my personal pick for worst Pertwee story. I really struggle to sit through the one.

I'm thinking either Death to the Daleks (it's the weakest showing of the Daleks in the 70's) or Monster of Peladon.
But it's probably gotta be Monster. At least Death had some atmosphere and memorable moments.

The Mutants for me. Hate the side characters, hate how shit it looks and no form of atmosphere, and the story relies on a message that is completely unsubtle and forced down my throat (hmmm, I'm wondering if the story is talking about racism). At least Time Monster feels like a fast-paced story and laughably entertaining.

It always comes down to The Time Monster or The Mutants.
But at least The Time Monster is good for the first 3 eps. It just turns to shit when they get to Atlantis.
The Mutants however is just a drag.
So The Mutants.

The one that always comes to mind for me is The Mutants. I read Terrance Dicks' book in the 70's or 80's and i really enjoyed it. I had high expectations.

Then UK Gold showed it around 1994.

Could have been better.

Similarly Time Warrior. Great book but less so on screen.
