Hartnell era: Best Tardis team?

What's your favourite Tardis team of the Hartnell era, and why?

I voted Ian, Barbara, Vicki.

Ian and Barbara are by far my favourite 60's companions, but Susan always got on my nerves. Frankly, I think Carole Ann Ford was a bit rubbish... I preferred Vicki, even if I'm kind of voting for her my default.
I liked Steven as well, but the rest I'm a bit meh....

Ian, Barbara and Vicki. Although I enjoy all of the Tardis teams from Hartnell’s time (Dodo aside).

If they were in a few more stories, then I'd easily say Steven and Vicki, but they don't, so it's Ian, Barbara and Vicki for me.

I agree with Tanmann - the original lineup always felt right for this era in a way that subsequent ones weren't - maybe because, old git though I am, I was far too young to ever see the Hartnell era first time round so my introduction to it was actually via the 1973 Target novel of Dr Who and the Daleks and also watching the first Cushing movie which of course featured versions of Ian, Barbara and Susan. Years later I finally could watch An Unearthly Child and this confirmed to me what a strong lineup it was from the inception.
