I remember falling in love with this woman back in 2010. They really screwed her over in the audition, but I was delighted that she went through anyway. I don't remember how far she got, but I remember thinking that she should have won it that year. She looked like she travelled from 1985 to be there  I love you

I really loathe the X Factor and every other bit of reality TV shite from the 21st century but that piece above was quite nice. I really dig her look as well.

She just seemed so genuine and down to earth. She was actually rather unpopular which upset me quite a bit. I don't get why the nice ones are always put down and the shallow ones are always celebrated.

Agreed. I believe that The X Factor, along with Come Dine With Me and Big Brother are the absolute pits of reality TV.
Haven't seen the clip, but I hope that the contestant doesn't try to give a 'sad sobbing' backstory to score brownie points with the judges, like 99% of contestants. I absolutely loathe that kind of shite and it speaks volumes about a person if they use a dead relative/accident as an excuse to win, when it might not even be true.

Come Dine With Me's probably the least crap because of all the food porn in it but Big Brother and *shudders* Love Island are the fucking nadir of UK television. Pretty tragic we used to be known for classics like this.

Compared to now.

Of course you fancy Katie Waissel. She is so your type LOL. A nerdy, underdog who loves the 80s. You could be soul mates.

Katie was treated appallingly by the British public. Really it almost made me ashamed to be British.

She got in ahead of a popular contestant at boot camp. Whilst she could sing, she was a bundle of nerves and should never have been put on stage. Cheryl Cole however put her ahead anyway because she was nervous and hoped it would be a trainwreck that would get more viewers. (Nice insight into Chezza's personality there. I always thought she was vile.)

The British public however were absolutely disgusting towards Katie because she got through instead of the popular one. They called her a whore, ugly, unfuckable, a bullshitter, voted her in the bottom two every week, wrote vicious stories about her, set up facebook pages that got over 200 thousand likes mocking her, set up petitions to not only get her booted, but make sure she wasn't signed.

It really fucked her up as she already suffered from depression after being bullied as a child.

There was one bright spot for her. During her ordeal Amy Winehouse who had experience with the cunty press, became a shoulder to cry on for Katie, and a very good friend. Sadly it was within the last 6 months of Amy's life, but still at least Katie got to be good friends with her idol during that period.

(Isn't it funny though that the Nation's sweetheart Cheryl at that time was exploiting Katie, whilst Amy was her friend and giving her support during the worst period of her life?)

Sadly Katie's career never went anywhere regardless. Maybe if Amy had lived she'd have signed her to her Lioness label, but it was not to be.

What's the betting all of the people who bullied Katie are now tweeting about mental health awareness?

She is so my type. I remember watching her segment a few times because I was so in awe of her.

Jeez, I didn't realize just how far people were willing to go in order to discredit her.

Also, they can fuck off labeling her ugly. That's always the go-to insult, isn't it? These fuckers ALWAYS go after people's physical appearance. It doesn't surprise me that she was bullied because people always target those who appear to be a bit out there. Her unique personality is one of the main reason why we're still having a discussion about her ten years after she appeared on the show. She sticks in the mind.

Now I truly feel the hatred you have towards the people who viciously mocked Amy for all those years. Good on Amy for supporting her.

Food looks nice, but what I hate the most is how everyone feels two-faced behind each other and is secretly judging others when someone might be nervous about trying to please others. Also that narrator is fucking obnoxious.

Also special dishonourable mention to reality TV has to go to The Jeremy Kyle Show. That show perfectly encapsulates everything that is wrong with modern society, especially Britain's. With the amount of thousands coming onto the show, it feels like 80% of the British population has either cheated, stole money from seniors/dead relatives or attempted violence on their partners or even children. And Jeremy is an absolute prick and clearly loves putting people down, even if there are some people that have reasons as to why they can't work.

I agree, I'm not saying that every show needs to be sophisticated or even necessarily intelligent, at times I like to watch shows that I don't need to think about properly, but the fact that shows like The Jeremy Kyle Show or Love Island get more and more recognition and influences young people is very worrying.

Yep Amy had a habit of standing up for people the media hated.

I do feel bad for Katie. In some ways I think she got it the worst to be honest.

Amy was more famous, but the public didn't turn against her. Obviously or else she wouldn't have been such a huge success. It was just the media and cunts like Jimmy Carr and Jay Leno that laid into her.

Even Caroline Flack, as tragic as it was, times had moved on a bit and so you couldn't get away with quite that same nastiness about her as they did about Katie.

Katie however had no one on her side apart from Amy. The public were complicit in this one, you can't just pin it all on the evil paps and jump on the bandwagon comedians this time.

Added to that Katie's is never really acknowledged when people go on about how horrible people can be to public figures either, where as at least Amy's is, same with Caroline Flack.

Then again that's only because they died. Had Katie been driven to suicide they probably would have all gathered around her as a beautiful lost angel.

I'd just like to say my answer to the original question is Misha B.

God damn she was so gorgeous and sexy. She was torpedoed by Tulisa who accused her of bullying, and even though the claims were later debunked, her career was still hurt anyway.

Still she was absolutely gorgeous none the less and a great singer.

I've grown fond of Cher Llyod recently. She's looking extremely beautiful these days. I don't actually remember what I thought of her when she was on the show strangely. I think I was too in awe of Katie to really care about anyone else. Her music isn't as good as Katie's either, but she seems like a pleasant enough girl.

Anyone remember Stacey Solomon? She was quite lovable. She had a hilarious mad personality, and was very attractive, though more in a cute way. (She was exceptionally cute in every way, looks demeanour etc.)

She was actually a really good singer too.

I much preferred her version of Driving Home For Christmas.

This is the one of the first things that came up when I searched Stacey:

Absolutely disgraceful people still have to suffer abuse like this.

I LOVE Jewish women Big Grin I might do an appreciation thread for them at some point because they don't seem to get as much love from people as I think they should. I agree that all women are beautiful, though. As I said, I would date a woman of any race.

Obviously jewish people can look like anyone, but if we're talking about the classic Jewish look, (like red hair is the classic Scottish look, even though we don't all have it obvs) it's incredibly beautiful.

Big nose, dark big hair, high cheekbones. You don't get more beautiful than that.

Lady Gaga also has this look too which is what makes her so gorgeous, but she is Italian (same with Dana Delorenzo.) The Italian look is great, though strangely, Italian women don't seem to get as much love as Italian men.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that all Jewish women looked the same. I was talking more about the distinctive Jewish look you mentioned. Some of my favourites don't actually have big noses, though.

It's nice to share the same taste sometimes.

It's just lynch mob television, and I'm sad not only that one of their guests ultimately killed themselves over the humiliation of being on that show, but that it had to eventually come to that just to end that rotten program.

Sadly it also puts lie to the idea put about by fans that Colin's Doctor was too unlikable a protagonist for the general public and that's why the old show tanked.

Jeremy was far worse and he got record viewing figures and popularity for over a decade.

Don't worry I wasn't saying you did, I was just clarifying in case anyone thought that I was saying that Jewish women all look alike.

Again it's like Scottish women. The image of Scottish women is of big, firey, red heads and yeah that is the case with some like Karen Gillan and Amy Manson.

Obvs it's not always the case, but still that's the classic Scots look.

I also love black women. The classic image of the black woman being sassy and having a big afro is the sexiest thing on earth.

Again just to be clear I am not saying that's what all black women are like, but the ones that are are sexy and hilarious too.

She had that Amy Winehouse look. I remember Cheryl Cole hated her for some mad reason. I think it was because Monica sang an Olly Murs son and Cheryl, again for some mad reason hates Olly.

Whatever the case she was smokin.
