In some respects she does get unfairly overshadowed as, though I do prefer Lalla, Mary was still great and one of my favourite companions. Great fun to watch and has great chemistry with Tom. Saw her in The Odessa File from 74 the other week, so gorgeous!

Yes she is sadly missed. (The early 2010s was a shit time for True Who companions.)
I always preferred her to Lalla Ward myself. I still love both Romana's but I felt that Romana 2 was a bit more of a female expy of the Doctor, where as Romana 1 was something different.
The Key to Time season is brilliant too. (Apart from the shitty end story.)

Mary Tamm was simply gorgeous and one of my favourite companions. I agree that The Key to Time is brilliant, yet I don't find anything remotely shitty about The Armageddon Factor, but each to their own .

I managed to get an autographed copy of her book before she died.
She was at the Manchester Fab Cafe. Still looked smoking hot after all those years.
I vividly remember her directly admonishing me for shifting through my bag for items to sign whilst she was talking.
Nonetheless she did write a kiss in my copy of the book, so I can only assume she liked me enough.
Always hoped if she did another appearance I could try to make a better impression, but sadly not to be.
