Are the Sarah Jane Adventures decent?

Indeed. She was actually a really likeable character and the actress did well with the material given to her. I can't imagine "Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?" being quite as compelling with Rani. Speaking of that story, The Trickster was a right scary bugger. I remember having several nightmares about him back then.
