Every JNT era story rated

I can understand peoples issues with Season 18 but The Leisure Hive and Logopolis aside, I find it to be quite an interesting, experimental season myself with the E Space Trilogy being the best aspect of it. My only criticism is that it feels like it dips into being a bit too serious and humorless following Season's 15-17 (Which I personally enjoy). But for the most part, its still an interesting experience.

Personally, I found "Warriors Gate" in Season 18 to be the best Tom Baker story since "Invisible Enemy" or possibly "Horror Of Fang Rock"

I watched Enlightenment this afternoon and had to raise my rating from an 8 to a 9. It's a great story, and the whole concept of the Eternals is interesting. I just think I like it less than I do because it's the first story without Nyssa, and I miss having her in it. I tend to think the exact same thing with Time Warrior and Jo.

Agree with Rob about Warriors Gate. Full Circle is a great, atmospheric and intelligent concept and Keeper Of Traken is underrated too because of the lead-in to Logopolis.

Yeah- I think it’s brilliant myself. It’s probably in my top 20 of the era. It’s really grown on me over the years, and in terms of art-house inspired Who stories, I’d rate it above most others from the era too. Although, unlike you, I rate Kinda quite highly, its script is nowhere near as tight and considerably more contrived.

For some reason, whenever I hear Sparks' Number One Song in Heaven, it makes me think right back to Warrior's Gate.

She is rather sweet, though.

Season 22 is great and had they made the original Season 23 instead of Trial then I think his era would have been as good as the Davison era.

The original Season 23 was (if the Big Finish audio adaptations are anything to go by) going to be back to the family fun of the Williams era.

It's ironic that it was probably already going to be every bit the tamer, light-hearted season Grade and Powel were demanding. And yet we lost it to them.
