That guy at the end is such an idiot. He clearly finds it funny when the woman is pushing the man about but goes all white knight when the man defends himself.

I'd say as white knights go though, he was at least trying to exercise some restraint in how he tackled the situation (but he acted as he was brought up to, which was to protect the girl no matter what). Only using what force was necessary to get the guy away from the girl, make a show of strength, and tackle him down and subdue him. He wasn't being gratuitously brutal about it.
