GC on PMF posted this link for the Daily Mirror article but it seems they are the only outlet reporting it at the moment and it uses the tense 'to be' as if it hasn't happened yet. If it has been decided then it has, even if it isn't officially announced. It had an average AI of 70. That's Love and Monsters/Sleep No More territory

Anyway, it appears to be dead.

No real surprise there. The biggest shock was how well it seemed to do in its BBC One slot, they still weren't great, but I was expecting worse.

I can't find anyone other than The Mirror that confirms this. But I get the feeling that Nu Who products aren't going to get officially cancelled unless it's absolutely necessary, as it'd be an embarrassment for the Beeb. (there'll probably be an announcement about the cancellation tomorrow now I've said that!)

Well even The Mirror didn't confirm it, and even say in the article that the BBC hasn't made a decision. It's all speculation on their part given the ratings and a "source" saying the BBC are disappointed with it.

One of the comments brought up a point. "Also, most of the 1m viewers that watched the first 2 parter on BBC1 probably then watched the rest of the series online, because the entire series is still available to binge watch on BBC3."

I wonder how many viewers did binge it all after discovering it was a thing rather than wait a week to watch it on late night tv?

They should have done a Romana spin off instead. People would have liked that (as long as it wasn't racist like Class.)

The new stories will be spread out across two volumes. In the first: Gifted by Roy Gill, Life Experience by Jenny T Colgan and Tell Me You Love Me by Scott Handcock. And in the second: Everyone Loves Reagan by Tom Foley, Now You Know… by Tim Leng and In Remembrance by Guy Adams.

Want to bet "In Remembrance" will be the Dalek story or would that be too on the nose?

If they wrap up the angels cliffhanger I might try to pirate them at some point but I can't see anyone in their right mind paying for this.

The old series Doctors won't be around forever and the only new series one interested is Tennant, what else can they do but scrape the barrel? I mean Frazier imitating Troughton is passable but no real replacement. Then Gareth Roberts dies, that's a big hit for their B7 range. They have built a whole business model around scraping the barrel.
