Yes!
I can hear the wailing now that it's in colour. Doesn't really bother me tbh, not when the entire thing is missing. You might as well, really.

I'm excited. I've never actually seen the recon or read the novel so I'm looking forward to it.

About the only thing Doctor Who wise I'm mildly interested in seeing...

Apparently there is a black and white version as well for the purists.

My spy at JB who does their online inquiries tells me there is and this is literal there is THIRTY times the interest in this than in Doctor Woke series box set.
And this is for something that once upon a time would have been a weird side project, for example at the height of the Tennant Terror, recon stuff or classic series releases were drowned out completely.
It isn't some little blip, there is a genuine movement to pursue classic Who "new releases" over Doctor Woke related stuff.
Merchant bloodbath incoming for Doctor Woke.
But this is not unique, same thing happened with Last Jedi and Soylo, comic book movies once Captain "bitchface" Marvel was promoted and so on.
As powerful as lapdog media conditioning is, when they try and bully consumers they run up against their own previous programming of the consumer - but what you like! Demand what you like! Irony alert- now they're trying to deconstruct that very successful inculcation of consumer thinking and the buying public will have none of it!

Has it got a release date over here in Aus then?

She handles all the contact forms and pre release bookings and requests. I'll ask her now she's back at work when it will be released here.
But yes, it's coming out here fairly soon for JB customers on "the list" at least. Otherwise she wouldn't have to reply to the contacts just use the form reply.

This animation looks shockingly cheap and generic, if you ask me. I've seen independent YouTubers do better. Much better. Note that Troughton is ten times as detailed and accurate in the promotional art as he is in the actual product.

I that meant to be Ben and Polly? Because the Polly is so far off fucking model it's surreal.

The rough and tumble scene was axed because of "time constraints"
I'm sure most of us wouldn't have minded waiting a few extra weeks for a complete cartoon recon of a 53 year old story.
Perhaps the animators were just burned out after animating the late Peter Jeffrey's nose in frighteningly realistic detail.

I'm a bit pissed off they edited that bit out actually because it's a very memorable Troughton character moment.

Reversible cover confirmed. At least we won't have to tolerate the Chibnall logo.

I bet we don't get it in Aus. We never do.

Can recommend this.
It may not be entirely accurate, and may take a few liberties I suspect with characters' appearances and the scale of the sets etc, but the dramatic licence it does take arguably improves the look of the story too in some ways.
Pity about the missing sequence but I thought the (optional) colour works quite effectively here. And in any event, we're still getting the great Mr Troughton in an old TruWho story albeit one presented in a new way that personally I found easier to follow than just audio and stills. So, unless more of the original ever turns up, this animated version is probably the best way to enjoy it.
There's some decent extras including existing footage (what little there is of it) and there's the Wheel in Space teaser animated too. Incidentally, as I've said elsewhere, the Macra monsters remind me very much of the crustacean creatures from a Hammer movie, The Lost Continent, from around the same time.
Anyway watch out you don't get a nasty dose of the crabs

Agree, it's a great release, excellent selection of extras and the animated crabs are marvellous to behold. It's more of an interpretation than a straight reconstruction of the episodes but let's face it, 'tis more fun to experience TMT this way than listening to some creaky old audio version (although fair do's to those who prefer sound only or Loose Cannon Recons).
Oh, and I've always been very fond of 'The Lost Continent' - one of Hammer's barmiest moments (the wonderfully incongruous, yet groovy theme song is worth the price of admission alone!). Features a small role from Donald Sumpter ('The Wheel in Space', 'The Sea Devils' and er...something best forgotten from Series 9).
Also:
Crab monsters and cleavage; what more could you want?

I love that serial! Very good choice if it turns out to be true.

They certainly seem to have a thing for season 4.
