Best Dalek story

Remembrance followed by Power and Evil.

Remembrance, then the original and The Chase for me.

Power.

Remembrance is mediocre at best.

Every classic era Dalek story is great. They are the best villains by far, but although its an unoriginal choice, Genesis of the Daleks is the best.

Although I was a fan of Remenbrance at the time Revelation, for me, is Colin's high point - right down to his blue coat. Graeme Harper matches his sterling work on Caves Of Androzani, the guest actors are (mostly) great and Davros is at his most intriguing.

I LOVE Jobel. He is such a cunt. Its hilarious the way when Tasambeker is having a full mental breakdown he is just having a great wee time! Also his last words always make me laugh the way he refers to himself in third person.

"What have you done. You've killed Jobel, you can't have killed Jobel."

There are so many genius little touches to his character, like the fact that he claims everybody loves and respects him, yet when Tasambeker (the one person who can stand to be near him) stabs him NO ONE comes to his aid or tries to apprehend her. They just carry on as normal LOL.

Also his wig falling off as he dies is just the final touch. Apparently the actor Clive Swift added that in as even he hated Jobel so much he wanted a final humiliation for the nasty little man.

I've not seen Clive Swift in much but he is a really good actor. I remember his performance in Voyage of the Damned as the sweet, kindly old man couldn't be more different to Jobel LOL. He went from perving over Peri to helping to save every universe from the Daleks in The Stolen Earth.

Genesis is a Davros story not a Dalek story. If Power existed in it's original form I might be tempted to vote for that. I've always liked Day of the Daleks, it's one of my favorite Pertwee's...but I voted for Remembrance. One of my all time favorite stories, and the one that rekindled my love for the programme after I became disinterested in the series after Davison left.
So much to enjoy, McCoy really comes into his own from scene 1. It's amazing just how much chemistry there is between McCoy & Aldred, it's like they've been together for years.
Marvelous stuff.

Remembrance is my all time favourite story and nothing will ever replace it. Absoutely golden from start to finish.

Remembrance and Genesis come close, but nothing matches how impactful Evil of the Daleks is to me as an impressionable young listener of soundtrack albums and seeing episode two on Daleks-The Early Years on a loop

The Chase is great. Doesn't seem to be as popular as the other Hartnell Dalek serials for some reason.
