God, he sounds like an abundant fool. The more moronic and fuckwitted a story is, the higher they’ll rate it, it seems. Still, this philosophy perfectly explains New Who’s success. Although I can’t think of anyone else who’d actually rate Arachnids higher than Remembrance- now that is just baffling.

I'd rather sit through ten hours of MrTARDIS/Liz Sandifer scat porn than ever see Arachnids again, and I'd give the former two stars just to denote the guaranteed gulf in quality between Arachnids and literally any other piece of media in existence.

I think it's still Love & Monsters for me. Few episodes have achieved that ghastly horror of an experience.

Worst NuWho Episode:

'Fear Her' -an atrocious piece of television with some of the very worst acting ever seen in NuWho. 10 and Rose are insufferably smug and annoying by this stage and the whole cheap/nasty enterprise appears to have been undertaken with the attitude that 'it's only for kids, it'll do'.

Also - this was only the second year of the rebooted series but already NuWho tales were getting derivative - notice the similarities between FH and the almost-but-not-quite-as-bad 'The Idiots' Lantern' also from series 2.  I understand this embarrassingly naff story was a last-minute replacement for a proposed Stephen Fry episode that fell through but still, what should have been a creepy, surreal thriller, full of Sapphire and Steel-styled scares and weirdness comes across as unbelievably kiddy, lightweight and disposable - like a very ordinary, very poor episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures.

Shameful.

Husbands of River Song.

An attempt at a farce comedy squeezed into Moffat's Dr Who format but missing one rather important element: humour. I don't think i even smiled once despite the number of "gags" Moffat tried to squeeze into the 60 minute episode.

Yes Death in Heaven / Dark Water is bad but at least i can watch that and laugh at the sheer awfulness of some of it. Not "Husbands". In fact i would rather not think about it. So i won't.
