Eaters of Shite?

The explanation for the Crows, lack of any real lingering monster prescensce, the PC Roman Legion, and the continuity cofuffle with the Marie Celeste really brought this one down a peg or four, but I did like some of it...at least they got around to explaining the range of the TARDIS translation field for Bill, the last real detail she needed to know, and The Doctor explained regeneration to her too.
Anyone get the feeling The Doctor and Missy interactions were making up for a very underlength script?

Zero tension. Extremely clunky PC moralising. I don't really mind if it's done well, but it was about as subtle as receiving it through the rectum...on a dvdr.
Missy is awesome, and stopped me from turning this turd of an episode off.
And "Give us a kiss!" Very provocative! I imagine this next story will thrill and piss off people in equal measure. Very RTD.

Not great.
The story was okay, but there were some stupid moments like the Crow bit. Also the monster was a bit inconsistent and the ending didn't make much sense.
So what will the Romans just live for a normal human lifespan or forever? The Doctor said that they wouldn't be able to live forever, hence why he would have to do it, but at the same time he said that they would keep fighting forever? Also the acting from the guest stars was quite bad. The soldiers were okay, but the Scottish warriors were terrible IMO.
Also the Missy crap at the end was predictably stupid and tedious. Credit where credit is due Michelle Gomez is a good actress who has far more charisma than Pearl Mackie, but again. She. Is. Not. The. MASTER!
How anyone can possibly say that she is the Master? Its fucking ridiculous. She ruins that character and simply cramming her into as many scenes as possible is not going to make fans like her or make her the Master to anyone but SJWs.

Oh dear. I'm really not expecting it to be as good as Survival, never was. Survival was also the product of Sylv, Soph, Anthony Ainley, Alan Wareing, Dominic Glynn, Andrew Cartmel and JNT, none of whom work on the show today. This is also the product of the same people who made the Monks trilogy, and series 8 and 9.

Watched it with an old friend I hadn't seen in ages and we took the piss out of Bill's speech to the Romans and the end TARDIS scene.
I want to post without saying the trailer looks like we're getting somewhere.
This story wasn't terrible and at least no Pop Culture.
Bill still seems like nobody knows how to write for her.
The greatest James Bond theme influenced my vote.
Not as tedious as the Monk bollocks, but seemingly better than the Ice Warriors one.

I liked the Missy/Doctor scenes.

This was neither crap or good. It was plain boring.

The crow talking was so forced it was painful to watch.

Oh dear, is all I can say. I wasn't expecting Rona Munro to be able to get anything anywhere near as good as Survival out under the current regime, but I wasn't expecting it to be that bad either. There was a reasonable enough idea in there somewhere, but it was woefully underdeveloped and simultaneously very slow and rushed at the same time, coming across as very boring. The guest characters were typically non-existent, and of the regulars Matt Lucas is now the only one with any kind of personality. That little "it's called charm" aside only shores up how wrong it is for the weirdo alien companion to have more of it than the leading man. And what the blooming hell was that crap with talking crows? Most embarrassingly stupid thing since the moon being an egg and those forest fairies in series 8. Does anyone remember this show is supposed to be science fiction anymore? Woeful. And now we have a Missy-centric Moffat finale to look forward to! Oh joy...

Mr Spadge
The PC wankery is being ladled out with increasing gusto as Moffat's dark reign draws to a close.
I've so fucking had it with the Capaldi run that I'd happily accept Clara waking up to discover Matt Smith in the shower.

But on the bright side, it was total shit, wasn't it?

And all 3 will be written by Moffat. The series finale will also be slightly extended.iank wrote:lol

I'm also ashamed to say that I've only just realised this is the same writer as Survival despite iank bringing it up.

There wasn't much evidence of it, to be fair...

This line is odd.
DOCTOR: See, that's what I'm trying to teach you, Missy. You understand the universe, you see it and you grasp it, but you've never learned to hear the music.
Probably cos the sound of the drums in her head, you daft cunt
