Roger Moore, with Dalton close behind.

Connery up to and including You Only Live Twice.

I also think Lazenby is underrated. OHMSS is excellent bar one or two minor directorial misjudgments on the part of Peter Hunt (e.g., when Bond makes comments directed to the audience). The fight sequences are really good as is the music: We Have All the Time in the World is a great song wonderfully performed by Louis Armstrong.

He was quite good in Diamonds, I thought.

I honestly can't decide between the first four actors although I've developed a soft spot for Lazenby's portrayal. I appreciate and admire everything Connery, Lazenby, Moore and Dalton brought to the character and I'd probably say I like them all on roughly the same level. If you were holding a gun to my head though I'd probably go for:

For me here is the breakdown my favorites 1. Timothy Dalton love what he brought to the role seriousness and has a bit more charisma then Craig Craig is basically playing Dalton bond but with less charisma.2. A tie between lazenby and Moore lazenby is amazing in his only outing I really wish him and Dalton had more films as bond. Moore is awesome I really love him and he has great funny y one liners too . 3. Tie between brosnan and Connery both are good I feel bad for brosnan especially in die another day if he had better scripts I think he would be up more. Craig to be honest I thought he was ok but I think he Dalton did that type of bond more effectively just a bit overrated in my opinion.

Actually 1. Timothy Dalton,2. Lazenby,roger Moore,3. Sean Connery,4. Pierce brosnan 5.craig

I'm thinking Dalton is probably closest to the literary Fleming James bond.

Actually I suppose I kinda liked Daniel in casino still not in my top though. And no its not because he is shorter or has blonde hair Moore had blonde hair at times.

I think it's a masterpiece. The only real problem I have with it is the fact that Blofeld doesn't recognize Bond despite meeting in the previous movie. They were trying to be faithful to the source material though so I do understand why they made the decision to do it the way they did.

What are your guys thoughts on brosnan as bond ?

I think in hindsight, Brosnan was okay and capable as a 90's Bond, but a bit of a step back from how Dalton played him.

As for Daniel Craig.... I think he's a dedicated actor as Bond, and takes the part very seriously, but at the same time I can see he's not really having any fun in the role.

The problem of course with Craig is that his film series seemed to take the wrong course. Casino Royale was a great start. Quantum of Solace was a bit of a directionless, charmless mess. Skyfall was good enough to come back from that, but Spectre was such a disappointing let-down. His films failed where they really needed to succeed.

I never liked Brosnan. He even admitted himself that he was never good enough as Bond. Still better than Craig, though. The World is Not Enough is better than all of Daniel Craig's films combined simply because Denise Richards is in it.

I just can't remember my overall impression of the film hence i left it out. I fondly remember one or two specific scenes - eg the car stunt down a side alley; Bond fighting some chap in a hotel lift; the fight with two gay chaps at the end while Bond and Tiffany are having dinner (on board a cruiser?) - but the overall plot has faded from my memory.

I absolutely love Diamonds are Forever. The stunts, the Vegas setting, the stunning Bond girls, Wint & Kidd, the John Barry score and the comedic tone really appeal to me. It isn't Connery's best, but I do like it a lot.

I personally wish Goldfinger would fade from my memory...

Brosnan was a good enough actor and Goldeneye was brilliant (It remains my number one favorite in the series) but after that his films got worse concluding with the nadir that was Die Another Day.

Concurs with my view on Brosnan. Goldeneye was really fresh when released and i still like it now. Tomorrow Never Dies was also good but his films rapidly declined even further. The only thing i really enjoyed in Die Another Day was Halle Berry. Beautiful woman. And the gadget laden Aston Martin.

Goldeneye had really shitty music.

This has to be the worst piece of music featured in a James Bond movie. Sounds like it belongs in some dodgy porno from the 1990s:

I can't believe they were actually going to use THIS in a real movie:

Thankfully the scene was rescored by someone else.

Roger Moore and its not even close. I know I should adopt the Scottish position according to Alan Partridge (and SJWs who have to see themselves in everything LOL.)

Stll for me Roger. He had the best films, best themes, most beautiful Bond girls and Telly Savalas and Donald Pleasance aside, generally the best villains.

As much as I love Goldeneye, I have to agree.

Also the less said about the end credits song.

Savalas is my favourite Blofeld.  Donald Pleasance's version never quite clicked for me for some reason. I actually prefer Charles Gray's performance over his.

The best villains of the Moore era were Scaramanga, Max Zorin and Jaws. I certainly agree that the girls in his era were the best. Solitaire and Holly were just fab!

Roger Moore, George Lazenby and Pierce Brosnan are my favourite versions of Bond. Timothy Dalton is great as well.
