This is what I have for the introduction. Feel free to have your own input.

Welcome to the very first issue of the Hive's very own fanzine. For those of you not in the know, the Hive is a sometimes Doctor Who focused internet forum that is currently going through its own regeneration of sorts. Heh, get it?

My writing is as smart as Steven Moffat's if I do say so myself, which I don't! Saying that would make me an arrogant little dick, and I'm not, I'm average sized.

Anyway, the forum and its members are now putting out our own fanzine, imaginatively titled 'The Hive'; at least for now.

“What can we expect in the fanzine?” I hear you ask. I don't really, and I'm not going to answer the question you didn't ask, because I'm not even sure yet.*

You see, in a shocking turn of events, this little Doctor Who community isn't especially crazy about Doctor Who these days, especially not the revival era. Whatever we put out, don't expect much of it to be positive about modern Doctor Who or its spin-offs. Don't be surprised if some articles have nothing to do with the Doctor Who universe at all.

If you have a problem with that, don't read the fanzine. We don't care. Or you can join the forum and write your own content to be added in future issues. You will find the forum at www.thehiveforum.forumotion.com

*Or you could check the contents list on the previous page.

Maybe this bit could be changed slightly:

My writing is as smart as Steven Moffat's if I do say so myself, which I don't! Because anybody who think Moffat’s writing is smart should be… [TBC]

My writing is as smart as Steven Moffat's if I do say so myself, which I don't!  Saying that would make me an arrogant little dick, and I'm not, I'm at least average sized. Just ask… [TBC]

Not quite sure how to finish either version off.

My writing is as smart as Steven Moffat's if I do say so myself, which I don't! Because anybody who think Moffat’s writing is smart are the kind of people you find staying to watch the X-factor, drooling over ‘Geordie Shore’ or throwing walnuts at a badger. Or as I like to call them Jeremy Corbyn supporters.

My writing is as smart as Steven Moffat's if I do say so myself, which I don't! Because anybody who thinks Moffat’s writing is smart because that’s proper padded cell stuff…

Ok, neither of those are great but they are just suggestions and we should mention Jeremy Corbyn at least once per issue to seem sophisticated and shit - not that that would fool anyone.

How about:

WE HAVE OUR OWN FANZINE!!!

Welcome the first ever issue of the Hive's very own Doctor Who fanzine... That's another one to add to the shit pile. Excited? Us Neither! For those of you un-cool cats who aren't in the know, the Hive is an internet forum--once described as being "a den of twats"--that sometimes discusses Doctor Who.
Include a screenshot of the "Hive is a den of twats" thread.

The Hive has recently changed host and admin, I guess you could say it's going through a regeneration of sorts. Heh, get it? Clever little play on words, wasn't it? My writing is as smart as Steven Moffat's if I do say so myself, which I don't! Because:
1) doing so would make my an arrogant little dick, and that's simply not true, I'm average size... though I do have a small dick.
Image of Rik Mayall winking.
2) Any idiot who thinks Moffat's writing is smart should print this fanzine off and use it to pad their walls.

But yeah, the Hive and its members are riding this new energy and using it to produce a fanzine. "What's in it?" I hear you ask. I don't really, and I'm not going to answer the question you didn't ask, because I'm not even sure yet.

If you don't like it, you can join the forum and write your own material to be added in future issues. Go ahead, you can find us at www.thehiveforum.forumotion.com or you can just not read the thing, we don't care.

Enjoy... Or not, you donkey felching fuck wits.

Is this fanzine still going ahead?

If so I'd like to contribute. I just don't know how to yet or where it will be posted?

I'd like to do a section where I look at female led sci fi and fantasy film and tv series. I was thinking that they tend to get overlooked a lot nowadays. Not because people don't like them, but because people like Paul Feig and others in the mainstream media and entertainment industry try and push a narrative of "there are no roles for women in sci fi or fantasy" that the dozens of sci fi things where there are leading roles for women get overlooked apart from maybe one or two.

So I think it would be good to counteract that by looking at things like Xena, Charmed, Alien, Earth 2, etc
