Mainstream following or Cult following

Which of these entertainment followings do you prefer?

I'm indifferent. The issue for me is that what's 'mainstream' is a zeitgeist that can change with a gentle breeze, whereas my tastes are rather more fixed. I was pretty in line with the "mainstream" in terms of films and TV in the 90s, whereas these days... not so much. And it's not my tastes that have changed.

Cult following. You often get to wear those lovely white robes.
