Recently Jordan Peterson suffered from an addiction to anti deppressants following the tragic diagnosis of his wife with terminal cancer.
He was misdiagnosed in America about 3 times, caught serious infections in hospital and nearly died. His daughter however flew him to Russia where he was properly treated and is now in full recovery.
Now obviously I'm not going to gloat or anything about this. I dislike a lot of Peterson's views about socialism and race realism, and have strongly criticised him for them in the past. Still only a sick fuck would kick a man when he is at his lowest eb. I'm sorry to hear about Peterson's wife, that's absolutely tragic and I wish Peterson a full recovery both mentally and physically.
Still I think this is worth bringing up, only because at the end of the day Peterson was forced to go to a national health service to recover. Now I don't know if Peterson himself is opposed to free health care. He might not be, and like I said that I'm not going to kick him when he is down.
Still I do hope that this serves as something of a lesson to many of his conservative supporters who do support private health care.
The American health service is killing people, not only because it deprives people of life saving health care, but its also incredibly inept. Like many big businesses it doesn't have to be the best, because its a monoply that can dominate through its pre existing wealth.
That's not to say that an NHS doesn't have problems, but ultimately at the end of the day, if Peterson had stayed with the ineptly run American health care he'd be dead.

I do hope this changes some of Peterson's opinions on socialism, as if it weren't for socialism then he would be dead right now. Again though obviously the most important thing is that he gets better, but when he's ready to return to debating I hope he acknowledges this.
