I'd give it a solid 7/10. I actually really like the look of it and admire the fact that it doesn't take place in just one location. Time and the Rani is a lot better (accept it), but I think this one is pretty enjoyable for what it is. I wouldn't mind revisiting it again.

I don't mind it. I found it an interesting take on the potential mental side effects of the regeneration process.
The main thing that wound me up was those awful twins. If they couldn't get twins who could act they should have gone for two "normal" brothers. And change the name of the story accordingly.
The basic story seemed okay and i liked Eric's novelisation.

It's indeed a massive step down from Androzani and it's one of Colin's weaker tales but I've never hated it that much and I don't think it's THAT bad. I merely tolerate it at best.

The Doctor/Peri interplay is good as indeed the new unbalanced Doctor, however the rest of the story is pants apart from maybe the character of Asmael.
The twins, Lang, the stupid bird people, the shit acting and the shoddy production values & stilted direction all let it down badly.
Having said that though, it's not as dull as "Castrovalva"

I've got no time for it tbh.
Poor Colin was blighted by shit stories from the beginning, as The Twin Dilemma demonstrates.

It's fine honestly. The only problem is that this is the finale of Season 21 instead of Caves, so I imagine fans were left thinking that Colin's Doctor would be this rude, utterly aloof jerk for almost a year.
Besides that, after the somewhat meanspirited first episode (although I can see what it was trying to do), things pick up a lot more from episode 2 onwards (barring the atrocious twins).

In terms of first stories for a Doctor, it's probably the worst, but it's not as bad as some say - I'd take it over Mindwarp.

I don't know, at least Mindwarp has Sil, who I find hilarious, and Brian Blessed... well being Brian Blessed.

I prefer it to Mindwarp too, Mindwarp is Colins worst story by far.
It's a shame Sil was wasted on this rubbish.

Twin Dilemma? Bad. Although not as hyperbolically bad as some fans make out.
The fact it follows one of the all-time most loved stories doesn't help it any.
