90s: 1994 (Forrest Gump, Clerks, Dumb And Dumber, True Lies, Pulp Fiction)
00s: 2005 (Revenge Of The Sith, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, Batman Begins)

Too unfamiliar with the 60s as yet. 74 or 78 spring to mind for the 70s. 84 is one of the greatest movie years ever (seriously, the original Gremlins, Ghostbusters, Elm Street and Terminator all in the one year, holy shit), 94 is likewise very good for the 90s.
I can't honestly think of a similarly stellar year in the 21st century...
