I think Sophie is beautiful. She is an acquired taste, but then again so is everyone. The tomboy look suits her the best, and she has a great, fun, laid back personality.

Her writing a Jodie book is shit however. UGH why does she feel she has to support this nonsense. At least she's not been a moron about it like Teegan and from what I hear Peri too.

Janet and Nicola are absolute clowns. Sophie is nice but she once said that kids who liked classic who more than the new series were being brainwashed by their parents. I sometimes wish Sara Griffiths had been the companion instead.

I think Sophie is just being humble, but the Classic Who folk need to stop that pronto. Its part of what allows the Fitzroy pricks to get away with it.

Is Sara Griffith's the biker girl from Delta and the Bannermen? I fancied her when I was younger. She'd have been okay, but I think we needed a really tough companion after Mel and Peri who were both too wimpy and useless.

Yes. She was very spunky and had amazing chemistry with Sylvester. It would have been interesting to see her character develop had she stayed on. Mel wasn't useless. She screamed a lot, but she showed a great deal of determination and spirit in both Time and the Rani and Paradise Towers. She showed that she could handle herself just fine without The Doctor being around to sort things out. I agree that Peri was a waste of space, though.

I personally find Peri's written a lot better in Holmes scripts (Androzani, Two Doctors and Mysterious Planet) mainly because he always wrote her in the vane of Sarah Jane. She gets quite a lot of good moments in Planet Of Fire, Attack, Varos and Revelation as well. It was only really Timelash when she became too fucking annoying for me.

With Mel, it was nice to have a companion for the first time since Season 18 Adric that actually seemed like they wanted to be there and enjoyed travelling with the Doctor. However by Dragonfire, I felt she had ran her course.

I've never been a huge fan of tits. A big, round, jiggly arse is what drives me crazy personally.

That said, Angela White has a lovely pair.
