Who is your favorite actor or actors to play sherlock Holmes?

Tempted to go for Peter Cushing, but it has to be Jeremy Brett.

Brett, definitely.

Brett and Cushing are my favourites, both capture the intelligence and obsessive intensity of the character. Its worth noting that Cushing's original performance in Hammer's Hound of the Baskervilles was acknowledged by Brett as a major influence on his portrayal.

Honourable mentions also for Rathbone, Douglas Wilmer and Ian Richardson. I don't think anyone else comes close. So many interpretations of Holmes, but the good ones you can count on one hand.
