Anyone here a fan of this band? I've liked them for quite a few years now. I tend to gravitate more towards music that is reflective and melancholic:

The Final Cut could certainly be called melancholic. Not a party album! But it's one of the great anti-war records, with perhaps Roger Waters' finest lyrics.
Coldplay are fine but I've always found them a little bland, a little generic, even in comparison to Travis or Keane. Hard to dislike though.

Floyd aren't amongst my favourite bands to be honest.
I have a lot of appreciation for Dave Gilmour as a guitarist, but apart from a few individual tracks, there's only a couple of albums I really like.
They're too miserable for me.
However, Coldplay are just elevator music by comparison.
