I don't agree with some of this. It's really not the end of the world if old monsters & characters are rejected by a new showrunner - if I hypothetically got hold of the Dr Who franchise I'd do the same, to stop excessive fan service and to improve original storytelling. I also don't agree with the casting choice - regardless of gender Whitaker never felt like the Doctor and was a gimmick for the BBC to virtue-signal. And surely this guy noticed that UNIT's been fucked since the old show's ended? Not to mention Paul McGann was one of the best things about the '96 movie...

I like a bit of fan service myself. I'd personally cram as many continuity references to the classic series into my episodes as I possibly could just to appease the old fans. It would also alienate NuWho fans in the process.

They just don't get it, do they? Its not the timeslot, idiots; the audience isn't there because its GARBAGE.

How hilariously desperate. I always suspected that they only changed the timeslot so that they'd have an excuse for the inevitable decline in viewing figures. It's available to watch on iPlayer at any time, views from which are added to the figures for a full week after transmission. If people actually wanted to watch this trash, they would.

Face it BBC, even the mainstream family audience isn't interested in your crap. Whittaker's finale attracted fewer views in the space of an entire week than any of Tennant's did within a 45-minute window.

Any guesses as to what their other rating straw-grasps will be?

"The overnight figures only take into account the number of viewers watching whereas there are, in fact, a very large number of dedicated blind Doctor Who listeners who are not represented by these numbers."

The perfect timeslot and channel would be half past four on a Monday afternoon on CBeebies. I'm sure the kids would probably prefer a repeat of Big Cook, Little Cook instead, though.

'The overnight figures do not take into account the many friends and family members of many of the viewers, and pets too. When readjusted to include these the Emily Pankhurst special competes favourable with the so-called 'classic' stories of the David Tennant era.'

This is real:

David Tennant is the greatest "Doctor" of the entire "Doctor Who" series and It's silly how the show believes they can replace an extrordinary actor: everything felt so alive with him acting and making the adventures feel like they're actually happening: stronger than their attempts at making sci-fi visuals look real. His powerful voice, his eyes, his very presence makes the foundations of your heart tremble before his astounding and brilliant talent. I can't watch the other seasons ahead, because they overwrite everything he did: as if all his heroics had never happened, and to me - they did happen and once the show transfers to Matt Smith, I quit watching Doctor Who. I'll admit, the 9th doctor did wonderful as well and did all he could for the show before making way for the calvery. (David.)
I've been a lover and a hardcore sci-fi fan for this show for long as I can remember. Always brings tears to my eyes with every episode, and not only that: the writers that allowed the magic to unfold, are simply brilliant for each episode, being so creative and every aspect being peculiar - which in turn, makes it one heck of a thrill ride! Love David Tennant, he's like an idle to me and his positivity towards whatever circumstance is marvelous: can't get enough of the jolly fellow!

I see that the featured audience review on Rotten Tomatoes beginning with "the critics are liars" has mysteriously been removed.

Oh God. I've just made a terrible mistake. Shocked

Since the beginning of the year, I've deliberately avoided any and all exposure to Doctor Woke, even in a critical context. About half an hour ago, I noticed that the worst scene from the worst piece of fiction in human history was missing from the dregs thread, and foolishly went looking for it. I clicked on a few other 30 second clips to see if it really was as bad as I remember. Now, I feel filthy and contaminated, as though my very soul has been raped. I may never be the same again. No

If I may ask, Clockwork Ocean, which scene is it that you're referring to?

That diabolically cringeworthy ending to Arachnids in the UK, the indisputable worst piece of fiction in human history. Just about any scene from that unparalleled abomination of an episode would suffice.

I honestly wonder if this was a deliberate attempt on Chibnall's part to make the rest of his drivel look serviceable by comparison. It's just peerlessly dreadful, even by his gutter standards.

The only thing cringier than the end bit with the ever so subtle lesbian subtext between Yaz and Jodie was the reaction from the SJW, shipper morons in fandom like Claudia Boleyn and others. (Are there more contemptible people than  shipper morons?)

The twat in the hat is one of the worst youtube nuwho pundits out there.
He regularly deletes comments and bans people for simply not liking the things he does.

Anyone who wears their sexuality as a fucking ring can safely be ignored as a virtue signiling SJW bandwagon phony.
As I've said many times before youtube has made it possible for some of the most talent-less, mediocre and boring fuckwits to make a career without any effort whatsoever.
