It could be nothing... Or it could be a sign of the failure of FemWho

FigBinish has released a time traveller series that doesn't have anything to do with Doctor Who. Made me wonder if it was to try and keep the classic Who audience now that absolutely every one of their Who ranges is either defunct or contaminated with the left wing deviancy of NuWho.

Based on the past impact of negative votes on YouTube etc. - the current season 11 "teaser" has 1 out of 6 votes negative - Who has lost at least a quarter of its audience.

BigFinish might be trying to hedge its bets despite all the constant gushing about the new series and the new Big Finish releases.

Because no one demanded it- they're doing Class. Absolutely horrendous and misguided. They will sell like four copies.

Maybe, but I somehow doubt this series won't be filled with the usual virtue signalling crap.

They really never learn.

Also I disagree that these people are genuinely "left wing". I myself am left wing in that I believe in ideas such as the NHS, the health service, the re-nationalisation of resources such as gas and electric, and of the rails.

I don't support a full socialist state. The media should remain independent, and independent companies that manufacture their own product should be allowed to remain independent.

Obviously I also support gay marriage, equality for all etc like most people do.

IMO the right are too tribal when it comes to capitalism. Just as the lefties dismiss all problems caused by socialism as "they just weren't doing it right", right wingers will dismiss all of the many problems caused by capitalism, from international muggings of countries for their oil like Iraq, to constant recessions, to austerity, to the bedroom tax, to globalism as just being people not doing capitalism right.

A more mixed economy like we had after the second world war is better IMO. China has also employed a more Leninist model and it gets more people out of poverty every year. Of course China has its own problems, but still from an economical point of view it is a success.

Sorry to go on a big rant, I just think its a shame that good left wing ideas like free health care are being associated with this race baiting, bigoted shit. People like Owen Jones (I hate that man so very much I could devote about 60 blogs to writing about what a cunt he is) have done more to harm the left than anyone else.

Here take a look at this quote from Whovian Feminism to see what I mean about these lefties all being phonies.

“Supposedly well-meaning observers always like to come in and say that hardcore fans simply won’t accept a woman portraying the Doctor. This attitude does both the show and our fandom a disservice. While there is always a smattering of assholes to prove this type of attitude does exist, they aren’t even close to a majority. And even if it were true, we should not let the direction of the show be dictated by the worst of its fans. If a misogynistic jerk who disparagingly refers to a woman Doctor as “The Nurse” says he’ll quit watching the show, he’s exactly the type of fan we should be proud to piss off. I promise, plenty of new fans (especially ones with disposable income!) are waiting in the wings to take his place.”

LOL yeah real socialist she is. "Lets not let the riff raff or the common folk watch DW because they are all racists and sexists."

The class snobbery among the left these days is hilarious. All of these people who hate capitalism, yet love demeaning people for not making enough, or being working class. Look at all of the sneering Gammon crap, or the low information voters in regards to Brexit, or the basket of deplorables.

Its just like when feminists go on about hating toxic masculinity, but then immediately accuse men who complain about feminism of being virgins who hate women because no women wants to shag them LOL LOL LOL LOL

The left these days are posers, and cowards and should always be called out on it. I'm thinking of calling them SJP "Social Justice Phonies" or SJC, "Social Justice Cowards" rather than SJWs. I like SJW as its an ironic term, but a lot of them are so stupid they think that we are insulting people who fight for social justice. This however highlights why everybody hates them more IMO.

FemWho like Soy Wars is not so much a leftie issue as an elitist issue. This self appointed elite with deeply unpopular perverted ideas hijacks every popular thing in society be it a television show or a campaign for fairness, and turns it into this university student level REEEEEeeeEEEing about whatever these creampuff elitists think is beneath them.

The whole idea of Doctor Who having "fans" as opposed to Doctor Who being a mainstream programme for the whole English and wider viewing audience comes from their American influenced attitudes. Fetish fixation on things.

Their whole argument about Who resolves to "you're not a real fan" if... But the thing is, Doctor Who is not for fans, it's for licence payers, which is to say "everybody".

Any form of "socialism" backed by banks is nothing more than a long con designed to create an underclass or serf class. What some people can't or won't see is that this battle to enslave is waged through the media amongst other battlefields. In the media, this means the destruction of all normative behaviour, the nuclear family, traditional roles for the sexes and to destroy memory and replace real English history with the Moffatized cartoon history completed with quintessentially British muh diversity.

The enemy began this war, and it has led to both sides continuing to radicalize, but fundamentally nothing the enemy says has the normal meaning of the words they use. It's all double talk, it's all dishonest.

A female Doctor might have worked if it grew organically from the previous stories, but this shoe horning is a sign of a deep malaise in white English culture, to tolerate the intolerable and this contant hijacking. It makes it impossible to be tolerant beyond a certain point because it allows in still more bad ideas.

I do find the term 'gammons' quite amusing though. God knows my lot have put up with 'remoaners' long enough!

I don't find NuWho "left wing" at all, or if it considers itself so, it's a very distorted Daily Mail view of what "left wing" should be.

How is portraying every single gay, lesbian or bisexual person as either outright promiscuous sluts who will sleep with anyone, anytime at the drop of a hat, or as people who are just singularly obsessed about talking about their own labido at inappropriate moments all of the time "politically correct"??

It isn't.

How the fuck is trivialising the often long, drawn out and emotionally, physically and socially painful process of gender-reassignment as a care-free, thought-free, humourous, casual affair like going to the wardrobe to change a jacket fucking "politically correct"?

It isn't.

They're the kind of attitudes you expect to read in Rupert Murdoch's hyper right-wing on steroids Sun newspaper.

I don't believe regenderation came about from "SJW's" either - I know lots of feminists and the militant "feminazi" ones make up a very small percentage of them, and I don't believe that they are generally in positions of wide influence or sway within the media. They are a fringe group.

Who is it who has banged on and on and on about having a fucking female Doctor, even when fans have known that regeneration and the Time Lords were never genderfluid every single time the role has come up for consideration since the 80's?

Rupert Murdoch and the fucking Sun.

Who has posted people from their own organisation within many powerful positions within the BBC?

Rupert Murdoch and the fucking Sun.

Classic Who at times could be VERY left-wing, it was anti-war, anti-colonial, anti-racist and  always presented the fragility and preciousness of life and the evils and selfishness of seeking immortality or playing God as it's message.

NuWho's message is that it is overly hyped, smugly popularist, invulnerable, immortal, all powerful and that the path to fulfilment is to obsess about self-centred selfish gratification and to be ruled and swayed beyond all reason and rational thought by ones own labido - hardly left-wing.

Must admit, I find it funny too. Particularly when you ALWAYS get a featured "Gammon of the week" smuggled into Question Time Audiences.(usually a Tory or Ukip councillor pretending to be a normal member of the public)

Anyone who doesn't find this terminology funny is obviously "triggered" and a "snowflake" and needs to just lighten up and stop being such a fragile buttercup.

The start of Series 11 will be artificially boosted purely from the curiosity angle of a female Doctor, but that estimate of audience loss seems about right.

Classic Series fans probably make up 1million of the overall audience or about a quarter, they are also the most loyal out of all the viewing audience and prepared to tune in even when the show is performing badly - however, revising regeneration into a sex change operation without any satisfactory narrative explanation whatsoever will most likely impact on this section of the audience the most.

I reckon Jodies first series will probably gain a few million initially on Capaldi's last series (which don't forget was in McCoy mecca-land for ratings last year!), but this will quickly drop off when about a million or so of the casual viewers realise it's the same old smug, badly written shite and lose interest after a few episodes and a large proportion of the Classic loyal audience tuning out too because of the betrayal to their long term investment in the programme with a retconned re-envisioning.

I think generally on average it will do marginally better than Capaldi's last series, but fall seriously short of his first series ratings.

The female spinoff may not even get a real boost in viewing numbers for its debut, although BBC will claim it did. Leaving aside the WOMAN! Doctor crap they've done nothing to engage an audience, and it's been off air for a long time now. It's lost its place.

I don't rate Jodie Whittaker as a talent, or a looker, basically she is going to bland everyone to death. That being so they needed a kewl monster or some sort of major hook, in terms of conflict, to get people into the show.

Instead we have quintessentially british team tardis and an advert for junk food.

Lacking the gravitas to be a serious actor and the charisma to be a lead, Whittaker is going to drift Castrovalva style before gliding gently to a halt somewhere in a beige series of events that have no lasting impact.

The female spinoff of Doctor Who has created such a clear divide between real Doctor Who and this new offshoot there is zero reason to watch it really. And if they don't provide a reason it won't have an audience.
