Makes me want to check more of her back catalogue out... loved her cameo in The Blues Brothers, it stole the show and helped relaunch her career.
A tragedy about Margot Kidder, apparently she died by her own hand.

John McCain + Neil Simon: the latter was arguably the funniest playwright + screenwriter of all time.

The legendary Jacqueline Pearce has died at the age of 74. Very sad news indeed. Always had a bit of a crush on Servalan.

Yes very sad news. Servalan was gorgeous. I was lucky enough to meet Jacqueline Pearce a few years ago at comic con. She was absolutely lovely. Very theatrical, eccentric, and she spoke to each guest for ages.
She should have got way more work, but with Servalan she created one of the absolute greatest villains of all time. She will be missed.

Jacqueline Pearce's performance as Servalan was electric. One of the strongest female performances of all time. I thought so when I first saw her 39 years ago, and I still think so today. A great loss. RIP.

July?! Why are we only hearing about this in September? Was the announcement made after a tortuously slow panning shot?

It has now been reported that there were no survivors from the Leicester helicopter crash. Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was on board.
RIP all of them.

Jacqueline Pearce as Councillor Olystra in The War Doctor boxsets was great.
Also, on a sad note, my grandma passed away today.

Stan Lee, co-creator of Spider-Man, The Hulk, Fantastic Four, X-Men has sadly passed away. He had an amazing life and a great innings but its still a huge loss to the industry. RIP.

Lost my little dog Lucy today. She was 17, had a good run but still very sad and depressing. She was in great shape until a couple of months ago when she went blind, and it's been downhill from there.
Sucks.

Very tragic. A dog truly is a Man's best friend. I don't know what I'd do without my two. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Mr Tardis' tribute on facebook unsurprisingly referred only to Swift's Nu Who appearance in Voyage Of The Damned, excluding not just Colin's but one of the show's finest hours. He's clearly one of those Nu Who fans who can't help but feel Dr Who began in 2005...!

Think he'd find that more people remember him as Jobel than the character he played in Voyage.
He made Ben Cook squirm in his seat during a DWM interview "During the course of the interview Swift questioned Cook's journalism credentials, dismissed questions, and commented on not being paid to participate."
