A new effects team for series 11

Milk VFX are stepping aside in the new Chris Chibnall/Jodie Whittaker era in favour of Double Negative, a firm who recently worked on the effects for Blade Runner 2049.

“The decision was made that when Steven Moffat and the rest of his team stood down from Doctor Who and the new team came in, that they would also mix up the vendors as well,” Hastings explained.

“So we’ve handed the baton over to our friends at DNEG for the next series.”

Still, both Hastings and Alderson say they’re excited to see what’s next for the sci-fi series in this new age. Hopefully, it won’t be another regeneration scene too soon.

The VFX Festival took place at Rich Mix Shoreditch and was created by Escape Studios, part of Pearson College London

Are you serious? THAT'S the new logo? Not only is it incredibly dull and boring looking, but it looks more like a logo for a medieval fantasy rather than a Sci-Fi show.

This trainwreck just keeps getting funnier and funnier.

It's weak as fuck.To me, that's not a serious piece of design.

Not a pinch on the iconic logos of the past.

Well predictably despite this forum being the go to for hating on Nu Who, they aren't even trying! It just seems a massive waste of energy and time getting pissed off over "Will this do?" efforts like the new title font.
Is this how it's going to be? Getting all worked up and ready to rip it a new one when it comes to the fight and it's already gave itself a bloody nose?
When I see stuff they've put effort into then I'll consider that a challenge. Until then, not even trying!

First the ridiculous outfit, now the shitty logo...

It's almost as if they actually WANT the show to fail.

Apart from looking like it belongs on a new Marvel comic/film more than it does on Doctor Who it doesn't look too bad in my opinion. Better than the RTD era logo for sure. Then again I made these so I might not be the best judge of logo designs.

Don't let it bother you. You've still got 26 years of quality television to watch whenever all this Nuwho bullshit gets too much. Back then they had ideas. They took what they had and turned it into gold. It was the ultimate escapism.

The show changes, yes, but the character and essence of the show remained the same. They've changed so much now that I'm unable to feel anything positive about it anymore.

Although I will admit I'm an old head on young shoulders I do understand that the show most be different in order to appeal to the modern audience. Unfortunately, this has caused the intelligent aspects of the series to be dialled down to absolutely zero.

Whoever designed that logo is officially a Pickhead.

This is ridiculous. Surely the script editor or whoever picks the scripts should do it on the quality of the product rather than the gender of the writer. It may be possible that all of the women's scripts were of a high standard but I very much doubt that's the reason.

Nothing screams "gender equality" more than hiring people based on what's inbetween their legs rather than how talented they are.

I wish they'd just go with "the new Doctor just happens to be female" approach where her gender is rarely mentioned. The approach they're obviously going for will become tedious. I predict a scene where a man in high authority is completely owned by Jodie and the audience will all be cheering and slapping their hands together. That's what it is going to be. Look at how cool the FEMALE Doctor is rather than look at how cool the Doctor is. If it ends up being a "let's knock Men down a peg" thing then I'm out.

True, but we have the comedy of the Internet reacting to The Doctor becoming male again to look forward to!
Well, cancellation pending.
And suddenly "Search Out Space" seems like a genuine part of the chronology
