Still needs to go through a Commons vote on Wednesday, but if it gets through, it'll be held on June 8th

I'm sick of general elections! Oh well my vote will be for the SNP again. Not that I particularly like them, but I still want Scottish independence.

This was a shock. I don't know who I'd vote for.

The Greens say the three parties should work together in 'a handful of seats'

I actually helped out as a Poll Clerk at the referendum.
Left it too late to see if I could do the local elections.
But may as well look into Poll Clerking the General one.
I think it's all crap. Two elections one after each other will piss off a few people.
If you don't think you'll like the results, why not work there (Overtired, forgot I could induce that state!) so you get a tiny bit of money from it?
The referendum was £146 or thereabouts, but there was a good £60 on top of that for going to pick up the instruction manual and listen to a speaking woman on the stage.
I don't want my area absorbed by a larger city in some Mayor Crap.
But I do hate the Tories.
Ironically, I have had more short term jobs under Coalition and Conservative than I did going on the "Work Programme" with Labour!
I pay no attention to polls but think they are still pretty. It's always what happens in the day that counts.
Those unregistered who make more noise about being unregistered deliberately are wasting time with "No it doesn't count! Not everyone in the country voted!".
The ones that did vote set what happens.
Hope you are registered to vote, and the local elections will not need you to provide identification, but the General Election will require two pieces.

The thing that might sell working for you: At the end of the Poll, you can get the voting booth to shatter on the floor (It's made of Plastic so it doesn't break)!
I'd just ask in your Town Hall how to do it.

Do we reckon a 3 day break was long enough for the parties to suspend campaigning after the Manchester attack?

Hard to say, if it was extended and something else happened we'd have a May dictatorship. Probably.
I just want this crap over with as soon as possible.

Polling just eight points between the main two UK.
Saw a lot of people walking to and away from the Polling Station all day.
More than I saw for the council.
And speaking to a clerk before the afternoon it's been busier than it was for the referendum I did a stint for.
Well now we'll know. Now we'll know.

Prediction time - I think the Tories may get a small to medium majority but Corbyn will have increased respect. The SNP will lose a few but remain dominant in Scotland, Plaid Cymru and the Greens and Ukip will get 1 or 2 each, and the lib dems will probably hold steady after not attracting the remain voters as much as expected (to my disappointment).

But the exit poll might yet surprise us a la 2015, Brexit, Trump...

Yep! I wonder what happens now - minority Tory, minority labour, con - DUP coalition, another election?

Whatever happens May's in trouble. The EU must be laughing their heads off!

DUPs sound like Tories. Thankfully, a reduced majority, though, and out with May!!!!

Makes our claim to have a 'strong & stable Brexit' even more of a joke.

The commentators think she'll be out within a year - brought down by her own power-mad Cabinet. She certainly looks like a lame duck, though not so long ago so did Corbyn!

Looks like we'll be sending Brussels the Conservative and Unionist Negotiating Team. I hope they can come up with a handy acronym.

That one's for Boofer
