The original script for Joss Whedon's version of the Buffy movie is brilliant. Much better than the finished film. I can see why he was pissed at it being changed.
The original version of Lothos had potential to be one of the best on screen Vampires. He was a serious badass in Joss' script. Shame they butchered him and made him a clown in the film.
The bit where Buffy burns him with a cross is just sooooooo lame in the finished film. The cross doesn't even burn Lothos. It just lights up when he touches it, and whilst in the original script Lothos' face is burned off and he goes insane, it looks silly when she burns him.

There's Max Landis' Power Rangers script, which for some reason included one of the males becoming the pink ranger
This idea was ultimately borrowed for the current comic book series.
