I've deleted all of the porn videos off of my computer except for my Gianna Michaels collection which I don't want to part with just yet. At least I have a lot of free space now.

I always found Gianna a bit too chavvy for my liking.

I personally think that masturbation is healthy, but it's like anything else, in that if you do it to death then it's likely going to end up being more unhealthy than healthy.
Porn is like chocolate or snack foods or alcohol. You can enjoy it, but if all you do is eat snack foods every day, or have 5 bars of chocolate instead of one, or you have to drink the pub dry when you go out, then you've got a very unhealthy habit.
OK maybe not the greatest comparisons but you see what I'm getting at. Controlling your sex drive is good if your sex drive is taking you to places that are affecting your mental health, but it need not be about going from one extreme to the other into total abstinence.
As with everything, balance is key, in my personal opinion. It doesn't mean you can't indulge, but over indulgence of anything can make the experience less satisfactory in the long run and lead to that feeling of being unable to fill a psychological void in your life.

Is It Always Bad When Men Look at Women?

Values should be realistic.

...I worry that the Left is asking men to relinquish their masculinity. Perhaps this is nowhere more palpable than in the insidious equation of men’s sexuality with pornography and rape culture.

Yeah I agree with Ronnie.

No sexual release can't be good for you, and NoFap is often associated with total abstinence being that a lot of the guys doing it aren't getting laid.

But since an orgasm is supposed to serve as a 'reward' and motivation, jacking off multiple times a day as a regular would be a bad habit, a reward for nothing and a replacement for a basic human function.

I can understand the self-control aspect and a want to 'cut down' but this doesn't mean you have to stress about never jacking off or watching porn. Just get a girlfriend, or start going out etc.

NoFap as a movement, however, essentially seems like a catholic abstinence programme - complete with the guilt and sin and partiality to censorship - in a secular veil. I don't think it's good for people.

I've done really well avoiding porn this week. I did have a dream about Bonnie Rotten on Tuesday night and was compelled to look at her instagram on Wednesday morning, but I refrained from looking at her videos. I'm spending less and less time on the internet to help combat it so I'm forced to do something else rather than give in to my cravings.

Yeah, the Internet can make lazy bastards of us all. It's just too easy to log on and before you know it, that quick browse can turn into hours online.
Real life interests are good to cultivate, but I wonder if we've all become to lazy to put the extra effort in.
I suppose work plays a big part. When you come home from work knackered and you can't be bothered to do anything else.
My wife talks in craft and quilting groups coz that's her thing, whilst I'm on here, and so on.
Sometimes we even talk to each other. Lol
Anyway, I digress.....

I've wasted half of my pay on porn sites. I paid for a membership for one site and then was offered a deal on another site which I accepted. I find it quite scary how quickly I can go from "I'm done with Porn" to throwing money at the bloody thing without thinking. Should I just ask for help now? Even if I'm uncomfortable with telling family and friends I feel that I need to come clean now to make the step forward.

LOL

You should have asked me how to get as much free porn as you can shake a stick at.

I mean who actually pays for porn? LOL

Sorry Maxil, I love you man, but paying for porn is a bit like asking for the bill in a kibbutz.
