Mark Gatiss isn't sure if he'll continue writing for Doctor Who after Steven Moffat leaves
Moffat and Gatiss have enjoyed a remarkable working relationship on both Sherlock and Doctor Who – but will Gatiss still be a part of Who when new showrunner Chris Chibnall takes over?

Hopefully not.

For three long days, I felt the cold hand of death on my shoulder. Lost in the depths of despair I tried to figure out what I had done to deserve this. I wasn't an evil person. The worst thing I'd ever done was kick a pig - School trip to Heston Farm, 1964, I maintain it was self-defence.

Mark's a nice guy, but his writing and acting skills are mediocre at best.

I'm glad he got a few shakes at writing for the show, but I get the feeling that getting on the team of writers for Who is more an exercise in who you know, rather than how good you are.

Which also might explain the rather in-bred, recycling of the same tired, old tropes, absurd levels of continuity and obsession with appearing virtuous and 'hip' rather than writing compelling stories.
