Disney sequel will have a blooper scene removed due to"sexually suggestive" remark. They say the change is in  "response to heightened awareness and condemnation of sexual harassment and abuse on the part of celebrities and others in positions of power. "

Also, Toy Story 4 actor Keanu Reeves was congratulated for not touching women in his photos with them.

"Many fans are convinced that Keanu is trying to avoid getting dragged into the #MeToo movement"

Some of the comments:

"The women in the photos do not appear to be affording him the same courtesy. Double standards"

"These women should respect his space by not pressing themselves against him for a photo especially in such a climate of persecution against men.

Honestly in the MeToo era not touching women at all is basically just a survival strat. High IQ Keanu really.

At this point, there's very little they haven't managed to poison. The only way anyone can truly relax these days is to go on a strict modern pop culture blackout. Draw a line under anything produced in the western-Anglosphere from 2014 onward, focus exclusively on art and entertainment you've yet to experience from previous decades. I've been trying to do exactly that, as well as paying as little attention as possible to the twisted, tribalistic shitshow that passes for political discourse in Britain and the US. I've been checking The Hive much less frequently too. I don't even want to know about the latest shenanigans of Chibnall, Kurtzman and Kennedy. Whatever they do is guaranteed to be fucking ghastly; the situation isn't going to improve any time soon, so what's the point of continuing to expend energy on their bullshit?

Sadly that is starting to become my attitude too. Modern movies and TV... it's almost all just such drivel now.

For some years now i have tended to veer towards older tv programme and films, looking back thru BBC and ITV programmes that have been made available via DVD/BluRay or over the internet. Youtube has complete series of some things available - I downloaded a copy of the Len Deighton ITV series Game, Set Match with Ian Holm the other day which i am looking forward to watching.

I've always prefered older films and television shows.

I'm going to keep my old DVD of Toy Story 2 because I don't particularly want to downgrade and own an "incomplete" version of the film.

Yeah, what started as a decade with a potential renaissance for pop culture has now finally hit rock bottom...
